The Magic Of The Night
The night is filled with a thousand stars
and my heart is filled with you.
The night is filled with a shiny moon
and my eyes are shining too.
For they see beyond the nighttime
and its magic in the skies.
They see a picture of loveliness
when they look into your eyes.
The night is filled with nighttime sounds
and my heart is sounding too.
The night is filled with sleeping sounds
while my body is next to you.
And I hear beyond the nighttime
and all the sounds it makes.
I hear the sound I love the best
and all it ever takes
to bring me back to morning
so I can hear you say,
'I love you. I need you.'
Then I can start my day.
And when it's time for the night to start
my heart comes alive and I know
that the stars and moon and the magic
are not the only things that glow.
