Thankfully, beauty is easier to remove than apply, and a swipe of demaquillage in the right direction and you are you once again.

Coal
deep it spews forth
erupt dark, hunger will is
eons idle
one swipe- set free
prayers answered,
lives sacrificed to service.
means to an end

Along A Running Train
Trailing thunders in a swipe..
Hundreds chatting, hundreds eating
Within the boundary of my running
Along each count of a bogie..
Next sec
Racing brain mutes like a yogi
Standing still to realise

leaving my body
bleeding in the
tall damp grasses

Swooping down, did spy,
Swimming trout en route,
Mother Nature's food.
She swooped down and without a doubt,
The majestic eagle has just caught a trout.
With one swipe, her claw did grab,
A fleshy trout, hardly a flap.

Christmas Trees
old homeless man...
watching then sell
Christmas trees from
a gravel lot...
thirty dollars, half memories,
faces or shadows,
long gone!
shuffles his feet,
his hands in his pockets,
fumbling his change...
old man, move on!
maybe come back tonite,
swipe a tree in the dark,
drag it on down to the tracks....
a bare Christmas tree,
