Desperate Love

Secret calls long after hours
Suspicions rise, why does she whisper
Someones hiding something
Whats going on
She smiles and finds an excuse to go out
Meets him somewhere on the edge of town
For one more night of real love
How can it be wrong
cause when they turn out the lights
In their rented room tonight
Two lovers wont be lonely anymore
When its a desperate love, risk is high
Cheating hearts making alibis
In the shadows someone is waiting
Waiting for their lover to come tonight
A cheaters conscience has no pride
To spend the night with another mans wife
Lie to his best friend and never think twice
He knows where to find what he longs to have

Is the pursuit of art a courageous step?
To give up security stability of mediocrity?
To risk all for success failure court poverty?

some artists believe they choose to create art
no art chooses us possesses us enslaves us...
nothing brave in choices foolish slaves we slaves
to art without choice must risk make to create

Does the great artist risk all for cause art?
The risk is to strive to create to enter the stage?
Genesis insanity tune a finely strung bow?

passion passion births profound glorious insights
impressive talents unmotivated are sterile

At Risk

At risk?
Those of an expressed intelligence.
And feeling it is shown,
To those known wishing to have it suppressed.

At risk...
These times not only suspected terrorists threat.
Those with a detected consciousness,
Have been witnessed to have the best affect...
Upon those who have slept.
But now have awakened.

And at risk is a conformity,
Opened eyes dare to break.
And from it willfully shakened.
With a more uplifted,
And respected patrioticness reflected.
That removes a need for greatness to be debated...
When again it is felt and not degraded.
By overrated propaganda...

Don't Risk Your Biscuits

Don't risk your biscuits.
Keep those biscuits mystic.
If they're found delicious,
Keep the people licking their lips.

Do not risk those biscuits,
For suggestions or tips.
From others who just want them to be,
Buttered and split!

When you took them out the oven,
You knew then the flavor would...
Bring joy to some.
Like no others had done.

And when they jellied up those biscuits,
With a favorite beverage...
A stirring had begun.
Making your biscuits their number one.

What's The Need To Save For A Rainy Day?

What's the need to save for a rainy day?
Or keep good dishes to look at,
And never use.
Just to look at...
And never ever use.

To collect good stuff that has never been touched?
Makes little sense when no one visits much,
To appreciate what's valued but does collect dust.
And when those gold trimmed cups begin to rust up,
Who then would wish to sip...
From a cup used that could be chipped on their visit?
I would rather lick tea from a bowl if I knew this.

Whoever got a benefit without a taking of a risk?
Whoever took a risk and not received a benefit?

Just to look at and to never use 'something'...
Like a covering of chairs to plastic wrap,
Who can sit comfortably on top of that?

Lazy In Aruba

Life once had us running to the bank.
Banking on the prospect,
That investments in a future...
Would produce security.
Security fantasized,
To feed those whims and needs...
Afforded to please.

We believed that banking,
Was then a safe direction...
For a quality of life,
Respected to protect..
In quality ease!

If this was yesterday...
It would be okay,
To think about Aruba...
And snoozing on the beach.
