Quotes about response

Interview Process

I was never one,
To sit through an interview process.
When I was asked...
'Why do you wish to work for us? '
My response...
'Give me a reason to want to! '
Here's another one...
'Where do you see yourself,
In the next five years?
My response...
'Not being interviewed,
For a position I'm overqualified for! '
And when test results were revealed...
This was the exchange...
'You have done remarkably well.
In fact,
The position you most qualify for
Was 'just' filled.
We will keep your resumé in our active files.
And if a similar position opens...

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

A Little Light

IN THE roughest of seas,
a warship wages war with a raging storm
in absent abyss of light,

First mate shouts out 'ship',
as he points to light in the night.
Warships send a signal of warning
(no response, no reply)

Warships send a signal of warning again,
but, a warship will not give way nor give in.
(no response, no reply) ,

Warship captain, at his wits limit, is very irrate.
His reply, send a signal with this warning,
'I will run you down and damn you to dark-
ness, to an eternal night of the abyss.
(a response, the reply)

Damn me? Damn me? Damn me

I Hear The Annual Rhetoric

My ears I keep open.
And I hear the annual rhetoric.
Spoken by some in glorious tones...
About uplifting the quality of life of those,
Of our brothers and sisters...
Who have done their best,
Avoiding to get stuck...
In cracks wrapped around loopholes.
The ones...
Many have accepted to address their unhappiness.
With a lack of discipline and purpose self confessed.

I hear the annual rhetoric.

Yet a slow slipping done,
Into a fissure has grown to become an abyss.
And 'annually' I've been approached and asked...
To express an intelligent response about this!

However...

Response Seeds no Speech Silver

When twin souls key into each other's glance,
body language guiltfree, guileless, glows,
pulse increases, haemoglobin flows
hearts stamp vis[t]a vision blessed by ‘Chance’.
Interactions focus on advance,
respond to signals sent, scent seeming rose.
Implicit waves mind feels heart feels, seals, knows.
Pheromones exchanged, strange tendril dance
above, beyond, bland handshake circumstance.
Response seeds no speech silver, no doors close,
no circumspection, - two, twinned, juxtapose
their several levels, [t][h]read whole souls’ romance.
Heartbeat appreciation is returned,
deceit, repudiation, ever spurned.

Hot Topic

Don't dropp it...
That subject that you picked.
Don't stop it...
Because there is no response,
Coming fast to arrest upon its visit?

Thoughts are sinking deeper!
That's why there is no quick lip dance.
Your words encourage minds to be enhanced.
And unexpected as that seems...
This hot topic has a meaningful theme!

Don't dropp it...
That subject that you picked.
Something profound has landed and grounded,
That's why we sit dumbfounded by it!

It is not about sex or those that are whores.
It's not about conflicts or those existing wars.
It's not about the gossip whispered all over town!

Enjoy Your Day

You approached me to ask a question.
And taking my time to listen...
With a response I had hoped,
You would comprehend.
Not only did you not do that.
But you edited my answer...
To 'insert' what you thought,
For you did not offend.

Now you accuse me of not being direct.
You say my answer,
For you is not effective.
You inject words connected to my response,
To something you rather accept.
And I hear your attempts,
To try to comvince others...
What it is I really meant!

'Why are you leaving? '

Strange Ways

Many people have strange way of meeting
With heavy face and deep frown, offer greetings
Good at heart but fail to show happiness
Forced try to come out of isolation and loneliness

Never mind meeting less people but share their views
Let them feel you are sympathizer among few
You are not here to gain their sympathy
But to share worries, agony and apathy

Life is worth only when you are involved in it
Light too may be seen only when lamp is lit
Feelings are also felt only when there is little gesture
Respect is also when only when you have fix tenure

You can earn fame only after hard work or dedication
Lukewarm response from others is also good indication
No one simply acknowledges your contribution
It is only for your hard efforts in distribution

Who Gave The Order

I'm Buju Banton with the preacher's son
Who gave the orders
For them to go, alright
Who gave the orders
Martin was shut down, ah, alright
Who gave the orders
To drop the bomb, we wanna know
Who gave the orders
No refugees across the borders, yeah
Questions asked with no response, ey, Wyclef
Who's gonna answer
Where did all these guns come from, tell me, ey
Who's gonna answer
Feeding lies to our daughters and sons
But they will have to answer
Then what you gonna do when the Rastaman comes
Where you gonna run for cover
Looking through the window of my ire eyes
On this city filled with lies
Observing the people working so hard
