So we worked all around amidst the glory of life
Any fire of the flame would be made

When Sword Bends Back

As the bittersweet nightshade tongue clucks
Thick walls of patience keep healing back,
yet if thy kiss mine life more poison stalks
mine misanthrope heart pumps blood in shock.

How far not thine eyes be free?
How high would endless mind should flee?
a butterfly that converts to a bee
shalt sting bitter than thee

Those eyes, yonder sought the efflorescent beauty
Those hideous windows shalt live in ephemera.
Thine heart who's filled with things so filthy
Life's on count to suffer for unknown era.

Thy who's name was yet to be known

Off the Track

Oh where the deuce is the track, the track?
Round an' round, an' forrard, an' back!
“Keep the sun on yer right,” they said—
But, hang it, he's gone an' got over my head!

“Make for a belt of apple trees;”—
Jist so. But where's yer belt, if ye please?
By gum, it's hot! This child'll melt,
An' there ain't no apples, nor ain't no belt.

“Keep clear o' the timber-getters' tracks,”
But wich is wich, I'd beg to ax?
They forks and jines, the devil knows how—
I wish I'd a sight o' either now!

Walls at gray-scale hath me inside
Life ahead heard, never I sensed
A bird no doubt in humanly pride
Of reasons, aye reasons' nonsense

Of mine voice so ill, undeniably shaky
never spoke thus called crazy
I to earth a victim, a patsy
Walls over walls my escape to beauty

Hath I no other thoughts but escape

Wolverine

'Yes, sir, it's quite a story, though you won't believe it's true,
But such things happened often when I lived beyond the Soo.'
And the trapper tilted back his chair and filled his pipe anew.

'I ain't thought of it neither fer this many 'n many a day,
Although it used to haunt me in the years that's slid away,
The years I spent a-trappin' for the good old Hudson's Bay.

'Wild? You bet, 'twas wild then, an' few an' far between
The squatters' shacks, for whites was scarce as furs when things is green,
An' only reds an' 'Hudson's' men was all the folk I seen.

'No. Them old Indyans ain't so bad, not if you treat 'em square.
Why, I lived in amongst 'em all the winters I was there,
An' I never lost a copper, an' I never lost a hair.

'But I'd have lost my life the time that you've heard tell about;
