The Profundity Of Paternal Pain

My purpose in life absconded, is the reason why
The more I live, the more I die-
At times, I no longer have tears, to even cry;
I have not given in to despair though, nor would I try
To push back the pain that I feel inside;
It has become a battle between sorrow and stubborn pride,
Where all that is left for me to decide
Is how often I will be on either side
Of this great, profound, emotional divide-
Betwixt the death of my soul and where I am allied!

With time, the pain does not dull or lessen,
Nor does it serve to teach me a lesson;
The pain is my penance for what others have done,
And the struggle will not cease until I have won!

I am a complete mad man

Suffering of the people
Gives me a pain poisonous
In the heart rubs
The sorrow, the delirium delirious
Just to lessen the sadness
I laughed, the laugh was loud
Before I was very sane
Now I am a complete mad man.
Ha, ha, he, he, ho, ho.

People cut a joke make a fun
I don't care
As they are found
Coarse and blunt
The dullards
Dolling out dull
So I walk
Like a king insane
The owner of

To think more

Discard the old
But retain the gold
It may fetch you good price
This is just golden advice

There is positive thinking and aim
Life is to be lived simple without tall claim
Don't do what you can not do
Only try to be little good but very true

You may come across many good or bad things
But have faith in Him for doing something
It will provide you time and ample opportunity
As human being you have appetite and ability

Love to live as humanly as possible
It may lessen your trouble
You may see the reason through
You may be able to see false and true

A Victim Of Love

Not knowing where it began or ends.
Times filled with tears
Times in your arms
Times I climb walls, even
fell in love with your
truths and lies.
I hurt, No kisses
To lessen pains

Is love a pleasant indulgence, or
A natural unlearned emotion?
Ovid, why you see love an art
When these years we know it’s not.
No teacher of love for women
We are just victims of your art
Romantic to the core thy art.
Seems loneliness and
frustration are our lot

So wounded by cupid’s dart

Waterfall

Smooth to the shelving brink a copious flood
Rolls fair and placid: where collected all,
In one impetuous torrent down the steep
It thundering shoots, and shakes the country round.
At first, an azure sheet, it rushes broad;
Then whitening by degrees, as prone it falls,
And from the loud-resounding rocks below,
Dash'd in a cloud of foam, it sends aloft
A hoary mist, and forms a ceaseless shower.
Nor can the tortured wave here find repose:
But, raging still amid the shaggy rocks,
Now flashes o'er the scatter'd fragments, now
Aslant the hollow channel rapid darts;
And falling fast from gradual slope to slope,
With wild infracted course, and lessen'd roar,
It gains a safer bed, and steals, at last,
Along the mazes of a quiet vale.

Heal Our Land

They say it is the land of promise..Mindanao
The land of beautiful people
The land of dreams, hope and faith

Now it 's gone..the promise..
Now it's war torn, of children crying
orphaned, untimely deaths..of bloodshed

What can i do to help?
what can we share to lessen the hurts?
Who can help us in this strife?

My heart bleeds for them..
I came from this place of promise
And now..it's gone..gone..

If only we bow down and humble ourselves
Humble ourselves and pray
God in His goodness and loving care
Will listen to our cries and will HEAL OUR LAND

Ability to Listen

As relevant to teaching...
Is one's ability to listen!
With an offering that is welcomed...
And felt with no need to mention.

Expectations to comprehend,
To advice given...
Doesn't always flow as it should,
When discussions are intended.

When an unclosed mouth,
Refuses to shut.
Misunderstandings start to clog...
Like a fog that clouds.
With an abruptness allowed.
As if this protects...
Someone too proud.

No matter who shouts,
To get their point across and out...

Falliteration... Autumnal Pause

An instance in introspection…
A pause in the passing of the seasons
As if Nature rested and reflected on it’s feckless design
Resigned, supine, upon it’s random reasons

Time to let free the lifeless leaves
From the tired, tremulous… and timeless trees
To allow the meadows to quiescently crisp’en
Let Nature’s labors, lessen… and then cease

To quiet busy buzz of beleaguered bees
let them listen instead… in well earned ease
Autumn…that pregnant period of pause needed…
and embraced unabashedly by all things… great and small

Richly earned respite,
from the timeless trek of the seasons,
Shyly… and slyly seized… by first freeze
of Nature …in the fallow freshness of Fall…

Life's Only Real Mystery

Life's only real mystery-the only one I can not impart,
Is the remembrance of thee in mine own fragile heart!
Persistence not lacking though, far it is from such,
Cursed be my heart, as I long for thee so very much!

Many a day has passed since our life's tragedy-
Now, besmirched have I been, with a life-long malady!
Naught is able to lessen my heart's immense pain,
Save for one thing perhaps-my family, back again!

The 'why' of it all I shall never quite understand,
I only endeavor to provide for what my heart commands!
Strength is drawn from God, in His 'higher place',
Attempt I do, all of this pain, to erase!

Serve it must, a far higher purpose than is now known,
As is, sure now as ever, I go not into this torment alone!

Dedication

To her who, cast with me in trying days,
Stood in the place of health and power and praise;
Who, when I thought all light was out, became
A lamp of hope that put my fears to shame;
Who faced for love's sole sake the life austere
That waits upon the man of letters here;
Who, unawares, her deep affection showed
By many a touching little wifely mode;
Whose spirit, self-denying, dear, divine,
Its sorrows hid, so it might lessen mine -
To her, my bright, best friend, I dedicate
This book of songs - 't will help to compensate
For much neglect. The act, if not the rhyme,
Will touch her heart, and lead her to the time
Of trials past. That which is most intense
Within these leaves is of her influence;
And if aught here is sweetened with a tone
Sincere, like love, it came of love alone.
