What A Shadow
What a shadow walks in the aftermath of realization;
I don't want to know what I know,
I don't want to sing what I sing
to the harp of the sagging powerlines
and the burnt guitars of naked trees.
I don't want a music that shatters like glass,
the broken coal of a menagerie of black strawberry hearts
reeking of sulfurous roses.
And there's a sword in the rain
with blood on it
dispersing like an explanation.
And it's hard to tell the true from the crazy
in this infinite solitude of awareness
that sways me like a bell or a willow
between one extreme and the other,
a kind of walking through arboreal mythogems,
Druidic tree alphabets, whistling in the dark.
Tender, eerie, and promising
the light that saturates the air after a storm,
the infernal glow of dark fire-gods

Night Rhapsody
How beautiful it is to wake at night,
When over all there reigns the ultimate spell
Of complete silence, darkness absolute,
To feel the world, tilted on axle-tree,
In slow gyration, with no sensible sound,
Unless to ears of unimagined beings,
Resident incorporeal or stretched
In vigilance of ecstasy among
Ethereal paths and the celestial maze.
The rumour of our onward course now brings
A steady rustle, as of some strange ship
Darkling with soundless sail all set and amply filled
By volume of an ever-constant air,
At fullest night, through seas for ever calm,
Swept lovely and unknown for ever on.
How beautiful it is to wake at night,
Embalmed in darkness watchful, sweet, and still,
As is the brain's mood flattered by the swim
Of currents circumvolvent in the void,

The Nightingale's Nest
UP this green woodland-ride let's softly rove,
And list the nightingale — she dwells just here.
Hush ! let the wood-gate softly clap, for fear
The noise might drive her from her home of love;
For here I've heard her many a merry year—
At morn, at eve, nay, all the live-long day,
As though she lived on song. This very spot,
Just where that old-man's-beard all wildly trails
Rude arbours o'er the road, and stops the way —
And where that child its hlue-bell flowers hath got,
Laughing and creeping through the mossy rails—
There have I hunted like a very boy,
Creeping on hands and knees through matted thorn
To find her nest, and see her feed her young.
And vainly did I many hours employ:
All seemed as hidden as a thought unborn.
And where those crimping fern-leaves ramp among
The hazel's under boughs, I've nestled down,
And watched her while she sung ; and her renown
Hath made me marvel that so famed a bird

A Wreath Of Sonnets To A Sweetheart
I
Tonight for the first time I caught your gaze
where you smelt roses in a garden,
with auburn curly hair hanging down your shoulders,
at morning glories trumpeting in strings over the wall
the window reflected you, caught in bright glass
and from the street I saw how lovely you are
feelings dancing in your sea-green eyes
aware of a unknown secret bond
but in the morning light you did disappear like mist
and when I rose
your were just a thought
you were already gone
like a pretty withered flower;
our friendship came suddenly.

After Sixty Years
RING, bells! flags, fly! and let the great crowd roar
Its ecstasy. Let the hid heart in prayer
Lift up your name. God bless you evermore,
Lady, who have the noblest crown to wear
That ever woman wore.
A jewel, in the front of time, shall blaze
This day, of all your days commemorate;
With Time's white bays your brows are laureate,
And England's love shall garland all your days.
When England's crown, to Love's acclaim, was laid
On the soft brightness of a maiden's hair,
Amid delight, Love trembled, half afraid,
To give that little head such weight to bear,--
Bind on so slight a maid
A kingdom's purple--bid her hands hold high
The sceptre and the heavy orb of power,
To give to youth and beauty for a dower
Care and a crown, sorrow and sovereignty.

On My Way
[Vinia Mojica]
I'm on my way..
Whether sunny or rain - I'm on my way..
Destiny is pre-ordained - I'm on my way..
Whether ecstasy or pain - I'm on my way..
I'm black and free from your chains - I'm on my way..
Whether sunny or rain - I'm on my way..
Destiny is pre-ordained - I'm on my way..
Whether ecstasy or pain - I'm on my way..
I'm black and free from your chains - I'm on my way..

Imagination
Maurice white, charles stepney & philip bailey
Magic mirror come and search my heart
Can you tell me what you see
Theres a thousand voices whispering
Songs and youre the melody
So I imagine my heart with you
See what imagination can do
Its not hard to conceive
Love ecstasy imagining you with me
Many, many days our shadows passed
Seeing visions of a new bright horizon
Set the morning light
And that morning light is you
So I imagine my heart with you
See what imagination can do
Its not hard to conceive
Love ecstasy imagining you, imagining me
The beauty we both can see
Youre the dream I prayed would come along
To make my fantasy

Le Balcon (The Balcony)

Creepin
I can hear you sighin
Sayin youll stay beside me
Why must it be
That you always creep...
Into my dreams
On the beach were sittin
Huggin, squeezin, kissin
Why must it be
That you always creep...
Into my dreams
In my dreams
When Im sleep at night babaa
I feel those moments of ecstasy
When you sleep at night babaa...
I wonder do I creep into your dreams
Or could it be I sleep alone in my fantasy
Oh, love is so amazing
Oh, oh, oh, ah, ah...
Guess you will be stayin
So let it be

Crazy Cool
(peter lord / v. jeffrey smith / sandra st. victor)
Sitting, chilling, thinking about you babe
Youre like a long, cool glass of lemonade
Bitter, sweet and I want you so bad it hurts
You complete my life
And you quench my thirst, sexy
Sexy feelings just come over me
Playing with my dress like a summer breeze
Gentle as the touch of a falling leaf
You open me up to love
Now I gotta believe, gotta believe
Bridge:
Nothings too good for my baby
Anything you want be free
Its the least that I can do
What youve given me, given me
Chorus:
Cause Im cool, crazy cool
Crazy cool with you
In this groove, crazy groove
