Quotes about clan, page 9
WREATHS ON DOOR (for Suu Kyi)
fingers printed on face
they offered apologies for the mudslide
after the typhoon
standing on the mound
of twisted bones;
the state had the right
to trample and extinguish
a bright flame,
a meteor, streak of dissent
only the sect, the clan
will surround the holy tree
to save the doomed species in the jungle
of laughing hyenas
i see my limbs separated
a piano remains untuned

I
So possessive
With this I and my
Waste entire life
In this quagmire
The physical form
Or physiological self
Or the name holds you back
Or the glory of the clan
Deeds misdeeds
Chain the bird
Otherwise
Which higher could fly.
Harsh but abstract reality
With firmly entwined roots
If cut
With rejuvenated vigour
It does reproduce
Let it abound
With no bounds
Some day

Minks
A flower, ebony and pink
looked south in the prairie,
where a huge clan of silver mink
stood like a circle 'round a tree.
The mink, fifteen in number stood
perhaps in trance, so motionless,
the fragile flower hoped they would
come near to see her pretty dress.
The mink however had no taste,
appreciation of all art,
the flower was forever chaste,
each little mink though had a heart.

Women in Kerala
A woman in Kerala is exciting,
Regardless of her frame or skin,
Of caste, clan and religion,
Of her poor or rich status,
Of being rustic or urban,
Young or old, literate or common.
The reason to my perception:
Humidity gives luster,
Hybrid race gives colour and vigour.
And inferiority complex gives
appearance consciousness.
Literacy gives awareness.
No woman can walk alone at dusk
For fear of tempting men.

Thought On Thought
Do you object to
sexual encounters in the clan
to save a semi-god
from extinction?
A political consideration?
For you becoming an otherself
for future generation?
I will not return to the cave
for a bell jar of bones in
the dominion of nature.
The creamy layer of bats
in dark, pursing the lips
to give a truth curdling lie.
I think, I should not think
of sun, water and clouds
and of mundane predictions.

Raise Yourself If You Can...(Alternating rhyme quatrain)
rhyme quatrain is a 4 line unit with alternating abab cdcd rhyme which changes from stanza to stanza.
Raise Yourself If You Can...
Raise yourself if you can
To the heights of Him high
Up the bliss of cosmic clan
In one with Him I don't deny
Confess if you can't and fail
There's a way simple you pray
For you He descends to avail
Earthly nigh.Bethink, don't delay

First Encounter - Ting Lik Hung
ting lik hung
yes, even the glance
is calculated
ting lik hung
a towering
Chinese temenggong
(the man was very tall)
met the late leader/banker while working with Holiday Inn Kuching near the former Hock Hua Bank.
The Sarawak Kutien Association has proposed that a road here be named after their clan elder, the late Temenggong Datuk Ting Lik Hung, in recognition of his contribution to the state and nation.

Darkness At Noon
Tousling the opulence was
not modesty.
Who will adore the clan?
I am not yet ‘me’,
the refuge of elevated moon.
The heat and dust of nascent money
was burning like a loud prayer
in dark sun. Perfection tends
to terrify the stings.
A mogul of arts outlines the
script of drowning a desert storm,
when two flames went to bed.
Do not pick up the nails for
the coffin of a martyr.
They are going to make a dirty bomb.
