Quotes about uncle, page 7
Slip Away
Oogie waits for just another day
Drags his bones
To see the yankees play
Bones boy talks and flickers gray
Oh, they slip away
Once a time
They nearly might have been
Bones and oogie on a silver screen
No one knew what they could do
Except for me and you
They slip away
They slip away
Dont forget
To keep your head warm
Twinkle twinkle uncle floyd
Watching all the world
And war torn
How I wonder where you are
Oo-o
Sailing over

Hes Your Uncle, Not Your Dad
(features ray walker)
(words & music by wayne - weisman)
Hes your uncle not your dad, hes the best friend you ever had
So come on dig, dig, dig in until it hurts
Just remember pearl harbor
(the alamos and nothing could be worse)
Hes your favorite relative and he needs a lot to live
So just bring, bring, bring everything until you bleed
(and hell send back what he dont need)
If your not in form ten-fortys your salvation
By deprivation of temptation
(dark and blondes I hear are not deductible)
Oh say can you see if theres anything left for me
When he calls you as he may do
Dont be frightened red white and blue
Just be thankful you dont live in leningrad
Hes your uncle, not your dad
If your honest you dont have to shake and shiver
The food is lousy up the river
(its give and take and he does all the taking)

Men Called Uncle
Now theres newsprint all over your face
Well maybe thats why I can read you like a book
Just when I thought I was getting my taste to bite
I go and lose my appetite
Look at the men that youd call uncle
Theyd like to sink their teeth into you
For the pride and the pleasure
And the privilege of having you
If I say youre the one do you think that Im serious
You get that kind of talk from older men
If I say I love you then I must be delirious
So why are you trying to put my temperature up again
Look at the men that youd call uncle
Having a heart attack round your ankles
When you wake up with x-rated eyes
When you wake up still shaking
How can I apologize
As you check your effects and check your reflection
Im so affected in the face of your affection
Look at the men that youd call uncle

Uncle Johns Band
Uncle johns band
By: jerry garcia, robert hunter
1970
Well the first days are the hardest days
Dont you worry anymore
cause when life looks like easy street
There is danger at the door
Think this through with me
Let me know youre mine
Ooh, oh, all I want to know is
Are you kind
Its a buck dancers choice my friend
You better take my advice
You know all the rules by now
And the fire from the ice
Will you come with me
Wont you come with me
Ooh, oh all I want to know
Will you come with me
Goddamn I declare

Red Barchetta
Inspiried by a nice morning drive, by richard s. foster
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
My uncle has a country place, that no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm, before the motor law
And on sundays I elude the eyes and hop the turbine freight
To far outside the wire, where my white-haired uncle waits.
Jump to the ground
As the turbo slows to cross the borderline
Run like the wind,
As excitement shivers up and down my spine
Down in his barn
My uncle preserved for me, an old machine ---
For fifty-odd years
To keep it as new has been his dearest dream
I strip away the old debris, that hides a shining car
A brilliant red barchetta, from a better, vanished time
I fire up the willing engine, responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel, I commit my weekly crime...
Wind in my hair ---
Shifting and drifting ---

Snow-Bound: A Winter Idyl
To the Memory of the Household It Describes
This Poem is Dedicated by the Author:
"As the Spirits of Darkness be stronger in the dark, so Good Spirits, which be Angels of Light, are augmented not only by the Divine lightof the Sun, but also by our common Wood Fire: and as the CelestialFire drives away dark spirits, so also this our Fire of Wood doth thesame." -- Cor. Agrippa, Occult Philosophy,
Book I.ch. v.
"Announced by all the trumpets of the sky,
Arrives the snow, and, driving o'er the fields,
Seems nowhere to alight: the whited air
Hides hills and woods, the river and the heaven,
And veils the farm-house at the garden's end.
The sled and traveller stopped, the courier's feet
Delayed, all friends shut out, the housemates sit
Around the radiant fireplace, enclosed
In a tumultuous privacy of Storm." EMERSON, The Snow Storm.

Uncle’s Hat
Uncle’s hat
A black little hat
Thrown by a cat
And left out to be wet
Uncle trembled
And shouted aloud
“Who left my hat
To wet out side
The cat mewed
Uncle fumed
“What a naughty cat”.

My White Uncle
Thanks to my white uncle in the U.S.A,
For today i am now living together with him.
After the hard journey of my life in Africa,
Today i am enjoying my days with my uncle.
My white uncle did his best to get me into the U.S.A.,
And out of Africa with love we do share our ideas together;
All the same, it is very nice to have a great person like him.
I am dark in comlexion and he is fair in complexion,
But the ture love of life is about colours;
And together we are very glad today.

Extended family
Uncle Joe would beat his wife, verbally abuse her, she would beat her son, verbally abuse him. Take her many issues out on her son rather than face her abusive husband. The son acts out, does drugs; every one acts as if they do not know why the son is so damaged,
Uncle john would tie up Tommy as a child, every one thinks uncle john is great, he is a mess. What a mess, his wife treats him like the fool that he is. Every one says she is cold. She is a control freak that is controlling a messed us man.
