Quotes about roach, page 6

Metamorphosis

a girlfriend came in
built me a bed
scrubbed and waxed the kitchen floor
scrubbed the walls
vacuumed
cleaned the toilet
the bathtub
scrubbed the bathroom floor
and cut my toenails and
my hair.
then
all on the same day
the plumber came and fixed the kitchen faucet
and the toilet
and the gas man fixed the heater
and the phone man fixed the phone.
noe I sit in all this perfection.
it is quiet.
I have broken off with all 3 of my girlfriends.
I felt better when everything was in

Pillars of Truth-4

the middle class is gone!
vanquished! extinct!
the american dream distorted,
dissolving into nightmarish need!

milk and honey are now
black market items only.

shut down the schools,
lay off the teachers.
close libraries, ban books...

firemen stand and watch
a house, a life burn down...
because the fee was not paid.

emergency rooms full of people
who have no insurance, ...
others wait in long lines
at the clinics...

No One Is Ever Sure

There are those who seek assistance,
To help them make up their minds.
They want to be sure any decision they make,
Will be approved and be just fine.

These folks wouldn't provoke a roach.
And would make a sandwich for a mouse!
But as a companion with an opinion...
No one is ever sure what comes out of their mouths.
Is it something they believe and think?
Or if it comes from someone else,
Who gave it to them to toss about?
Or did it sit to marinade...
In preparation before it came out!

And some of them call themselves friends.
But who could ever depend on them?
Everything they said would be scutinized and questioned.
And folks like these,
Would find it difficult to put another's mind at ease!

Promises to Keep

Live it up!
By all means...
Don't let me stop you!
I wouldn't dare allow my eyes,
To drift away from absorbing this!
Your current romp in glee,
Reminds me of so much I must remember!

For every chicken I watched my mother pluck!
And for every blister suffered on my father's hands...
Obtained by working ungloved in an iron factory,
You are going to pay!
For every roach that crawled on my skin,
For every rat that fell on my sister
When the ceiling caved in!
For every teardropp I wiped from my swollen eyes...
I STILL have problems drying.
You are going to pay for the lies you told,
To keep our lives lived that way!

The Sheets

We used to meet
on this corner
in the same wind.
It fought us up the hill
to your house,
blew us in the door.
The elevator rose
on guests of stale air
fed on ancient dinners.
Your room smelled
of roach spray and roses.

In those days
we went to bed with Marvell.
The wind ruffled sheets and pages,
spoke to us through walls.
For hours I used to lie
with my ear to your bare chest,
listening for the sea.

Freakin’ At The Freaker’s Ball

Come on, baby, grease your lips,
Put on your hat, and shake your hips.
And don’t forget to bring your ships.
We’re goin’ to the Freakers Ball.
Shake your mojo, bang your gong,
Roll up somethin’ to take along.
Feels so good that it must be wrong
Freakin’ at the Freakers Ball.

All the fags and dykes, they’re boogyin’ together
Leather freaks all dressed in leather.
The greatest of the sadists and the masochists, too,
Screamin’ 'You hit me' and 'I’ll hit you'.
F.B.I. dancin’ with the junkies.
All the straights swingin’ with the funkies
’Cross the floor and up the wall.
Freakin’ at the Freakers Ball.

Hard hats and long hairs lovin’ each other.
Brother with sister, son with mother.

May Initially Hurt From The Dirt Dispersed

Once a mistreatment
Of trust has been discovered done
That's it!
All the drama in the world displayed
Is not going to restore one's faith
In that which has been mentally used to abuse

Apologies given with the asking of forgiveness
Is something one wishes when caught
That's it!
And that's all that that is
Like a roach stunned when caught
By the instant glaring of unexpected light

Apologies snapped together quickly
Rarely can be associated with sincerity
Apologies snapped together quickly
Is a quick way to remove one's burden
From a feeling of guilt
What else can it be?

Too Far to Get Someone

I don't see anything attractive!
Not a thing to keep me busy.
Nothing as a gadget either.
No remote or a sign of a frisbee.
No TV or radio.
Or music played from a stereo?
Not even an instrument or a piece of art,
Hanging around.
This is rather stark!
This moment is profound.
No floral arrangements or magazines...
Nor a clock or a calendar to be found!
And you sent messages to me...
On your PC...
How delighted we would be discovering an 'e-mailed' love!
One meant to be?

But you left out more than one important fact...
You said you had a Tabby cat.
And I can't see why a roach,

No sorrow drops down from Heaven

Entwined i feel loved
Embraced by a stranger with warmth and passion
The cockroach interrupts the ceremony and i kill him
No sorrow drops from Heaven

Entwined i feel loved
Embraced by a stranger so often now, i cannot stand it
Imagine getting angry from excess ecstasy but u cannot
For my day is filled with intercourse that would make you blush
My day, unlike any others is carnal in it's essence
My day, is unique each day and so is my lover
But i wondered at that moment
As the cockroach interrupted my ceremony and i killed him
When someone human interrupts my ceremony how will i act?
Moreover a most urgent question-
When i am defunct will sorrow dropp from Heaven?
I pray for that because
What sorrows have value except the ones for me?
I look back at the roach and see that suddenly he is beautiful
His sleek light brown coat looks like a bikers leather jacket

Fed Rights to Be Victims

Unwed mothers.
Raising kids.
And doing the same thing...
Their mothers and those before 'them' did.

Giving up their love,
To fatherless men!
And doing the best they can,
With no support at all from them!

Bragging punks on the corners stand.
Without clue or concept in their heads...
What it takes to be a man.
Who amongst them,
Comprehends this or understands?

Seeking to be understood.
These shiftless hoodlums,
In condoning neighborhoods.
With emotions kept deep within.
