Wane Wars

Welcoming waves wave worries 'way
Opulent Oceans open opportunities
Seeing seas soothe sending some salvation
Royal riches reaming - raising rebels
Wars won with winners wielding wizards’ wands
Billions birth bombs - brutally burnt bodies
Men massacre maids - millions murdered
Time teaches temperance – time teaches:
Nothing, nothing new, nothing, nothing new
Still, starvation stinks, septic scents send shivers
Awakening avenging angels, angered
Compassionate, caring – creating change
Humans humbled, hurt, hungry – hunting healing
When will we wane wars? Wicked world.

Saturday's Child

Some are teethed on a silver spoon,
With the stars strung for a rattle;
I cut my teeth as the black racoon--
For implements of battle.
Some are swaddled in silk and down,
And heralded by a star;
They swathed my limbs in a sackcloth gown
On a night that was black as tar.
For some, godfather and goddame
The opulent fairies be;
Dame Poverty gave me my name,
And Pain godfathered me.
For I was born on Saturday--
"Bad time for planting a seed,"
Was all my father had to say,
And, "One mouth more to feed."
Death cut the strings that gave me life,
And handed me to Sorrow,
The only kind of middle wife
My folks could beg or borrow.

Someone Reads Me

Just as I think I should pause and
End this stuff
Another one comes and says
Nuts! I like what you are driving at

I, doubt

Lingering to this kind of appreciation
Opulent, she could be
Volatile as passing sweet musk perfume
Eggshell white-pure well meant and

Yes, I may give this stuff a chance
Over and over again, what some sad people in
Utmost need could be, what I can fill in.

Last night
Out in the open space where darkness reigns
Vouchsafe, as I see it I am an
Egregious error to myself

Your Naked Eyes

Naked and Vulnerable,
I lie before you
For you to behold me
With your naked eyes…

Beautiful and Ugly
I lie before you
For you to assess me
With your naked eyes…

Drenched in Love
I lie before you
For you to reciprocate
With your naked eyes…

Doused in Passion
I lie before you
For you to arouse me
With your naked eyes…

Sea Of Crumpled Dreams

Beyond the sea of crumpled dreams
the fractured souls sit
lost within a maze of discarded thoughts
on a plateau of inconsistencies.
Their tribal infusions of opulent airs
hang high in spellbound colours
above the sea of crumpled dreams
watched by ever-vigilant eyes
from the watchtower on the shore.
Confusion reigns supreme
from the souls lost on the sea
as they tumble in a drought of words
discarded annually.
Their hidden agenda sprout up
like mountains out of crumpled dreams
that swirl around in the oceans near infinity,
and are left there for eternity
at the mercy of destiny’s slide
on the opposite side of the horizon,
beyond the sea of crumpled dreams.

Letting the Day Go

Sweet induced visions...
soothing fusion visitation:
Opulent emeralds – Day glow bright!
Fields of blossoming lime flowers!

– Chase away all tequila salt tensions form my shot glass eyes!

Sun Drops: : :)))
Dahlias: : : Violet star-
burst supernovas!)))

tender leaves of tendril clinging sage...

well red beauty in red

...resting 'neath the willow shade...

~ End Not My Inner Swash Slush ~

~ End Not My Inner Swash Slush ~
Ms. Nivedita
UK
3 August 2010

Facing infinite sky
Wreathing garland
On your seductress lap
For whom knows who?

Inebriating zephyr
Brings mellow music
So near next spree bilk
Gaga gala gaze why?

Mesmeric mudra
Is it fugacious virtual or
Redundant real unveil
Not why O’ You?

Women Are The Most Beautiful Creatures On This Earth

Women are the most beautiful creatures on this Earth
They are so beautiful from the moment of their birth
I believe that all women have a natural grace
Women drive men crazy by wearing leather and lace
Well maybe not all men go for that sort of a thing
Some men are driven nuts by a woman who can sing
Although that is another story all in itself
Some women like to wear fur and nice opulent things
They drive men nucking futs and say buy me a nice ring
They always call to talk and chitchat late in the night
But then again I once met one named Heather Albright
She could weave a mystery without a clue I say
By far she has the most beautiful golden hair spray
Feminine as any woman in touch with her self

P.s. Can this poem be considered a new form of sonnet?

Chrysalis

Incongruous creeper of star crossed fate
Muted dreamer with a living to tolerate
Swanking too compensate the lack of luster
A sycophantic wish delivering a note of disaster
As you regress inexorably to a cringe of pity
A cocoon not of metamorphosis but of mediocrity
Hoisted in the blind relishing promise
A delirium of emancipation from apathetic premise
Quelling identity to bargain sympathy
A herald of toppling chance of divinity
You opt for opulent wings, lavish and capturing
Denied amplification with no point of returning
A fancy to take flight but no intention to soar
Mindlessly hoping to turn at the count of four
Blanched with profound searing undraping
Swathed with hope for brand new wings
A failure to acquaint the puissant enemy
Eternally ensnared in a cosset of turgidity.

So He Never Did!

Jim said he'd take her for a stroll.
Then they'd have tea and toad-in-the-hole,
But they wouldn't let him out on parole,
So he never did!

Jo said they'd both go to the park,
Have a kiss and have a lark,
But he lost her there, out in the dark,
So he never did!

James said he'd hire a limousine,
And take her up to Aberdeen,
But he ended up somewhere, in between,
So he never did!

John said he'd buy her a lovely mink,
Gosh, she thought, I'm in the pink,
But it was a skunk. Wow what a stink!
So he never did!
