Anna

I got asweet little angel and I love her so
She's there when I need her, she understands when I say go
In the night, when she says "Hold me", it makes me feel so strong
Living with her unfolds me, she gives me strength to carry on
I don't need anyone else
If I did I would be fooling myself
Anna, Anna
And I know if she left me, my world would turn cold
She's the best liitle lady that a man could ever hold
When I'm down, she knows what to say
She clears my blindness away
And in the night, she says "Hold me", it makes me feel so strong
I don't need nobody else
If I did I would be fooling myself
Anna, Anna
I found me a simple woman, yeah yeah
A simple woman
I have found me a simple woman, oooh yeah
A simple woman for a simple man
I found me a simple woman,

The Campaign, A Poem, To His Grace The Duke Of Marlborough

While crowds of princes your deserts proclaim,
Proud in their number to enrol your name;
While emperors to you commit their cause,
And Anna's praises crown the vast applause;
Accept, great leader, what the Muse recites,
That in ambitious verse attempts your fights.
Fir'd and transported with a theme so new,
Ten thousand wonders opening to my view
Shine forth at once; sieges and storms appear,
And wars and conquests fill the' important year:

Rivers of blood I see, and hills of slain,
And Iliad rising out of one campaign.
The haughty Gaul beheld, with towering pride,
His ancient bounds enlarg'd on every side;
Pyrene's lofty barriers were subdued,
And in the midst of his wide empire stood;
Ausonia's states, the victor to restrain,
Opposed their Alps and Apennines in vain,
Nor found themselves, with strength of rocks immur'd,

Cupid Caught Napping

Cupid on a summer day,
Wearied by unceasing play,
In a rose heart sleeping lay,
While, to guard the tricksy fellow,
Close above the fragrant bed
Back and forth a gruff bee sped,
And, to lull the sleepy head,
Played 'Zoom! Zoom!' upon his ‘cello.

Little did the god surmise
That sweet Anna’s cerule eyes
Gazed on him with glad surprise,
Or that he was in such danger;
But the watchman bee, in haste,
Left his post that he might taste
of the honey nature placed
On the lips of that fair stranger.

Thus unwatched, from Cupid’s side
Anna stole the boy god’s pride,

For Anna, My Cousin (RIP)

Anna never had a chance; she was wild
Before she could even grow as a child
Messed up parents wrapped in Religion
Never did care 'bout the child's condition

At two she saw the hatred and abuse
The ugly conflicts she could not refuse
Her father and mother with violent rage
In domestic scenes they always engaged.

As a teen she was lovely and attractive
But her person in lost values were captive
She worked in a bar and had lots of money
But she fell to drug dealing, eventually.

Anna met the actor's son who played the dice
Supplied the drugs for her merchandise
She must have crossed him in some devious way
She was murdered with drugs that took her away.

An Ode to Anna Russell, On Her Birthday

here is an ode to Anna Russell
with a wriggly jiggly bum that is really all muscle
and with a mind that is dancing all of the time
she's a tequila mockingbird with a twist of lime

tipsy in her highest heels
Paul Newman yet appeals
an optimist with endless hugs
(except for certain types of bugs)
she'd never live in that little town
and red letters unwanted don't get her down
proud Mom and a hardy Scot
slender dreams and broken heart
blank pages don't cause her fear
she leaves us all with a perfect tear
honest truths written beautifully
many lovers she has - of her poetry
And if you haven't read her stuff
you've been warned - fair enough
get on over, hurry and see

Gipsy Song

IN the drizzling mist, with the snow high-pil'd,
In the Winter night, in the forest wild,
I heard the wolves with their ravenous howl,
I heard the screaming note of the owl:

Wille wau wau wau!

Wille wo wo wo!

Wito hu!

I shot, one day, a cat in a ditch--
The dear black cat of Anna the witch;
Upon me, at night, seven were-wolves came down,
Seven women they were, from out of the town.

Wille wau wau wau!

Wille wo wo wo!

The Confidant

Anna was always full of thought
As if she'd many sorrows known,
Yet mostly her full heart was fraught
With troubles that were not her own;
For the whole school to Anna used to tell
Whatever small misfortunes unto them befell.

And being so by all beloved,
That all into her bosom poured
Their dearest secrets, she was moved
To pity all-her heart a hoard,
Or storehouse, by this means became for all
The sorrows can to girls of tender age befall.

Though individually not much
Distress throughout the school prevailed,
Yet as she shared it all, 'twas such
A weight of woe that her assailed,

Today... 'The Consolation of Israel

It was a busy world at Your nativity
People were too busy to even stop and see
As into the temple Your family had come
In obedience to the law and Jewish custom

The glory of the Lord was present there that day
In that building composed of earthly stone and clay
The same glory that appeared in Solomon's reign
Was present as God entered His temple again

Simeon and Anna were also present there
And in prophecy they both began to declare
That Child in their arms was the promised Holy one
Born of God, His One and Only Belovéd Son

In wonder Simeon in his arms held his Lord
And began speaking out loud God's prophetic word
And Anna also join in with him to proclaim
These things happened when to His temple Jesus came

Lyrical Journey

Dark circles under her eyes tells
The story of many sleepless nights

Anna takes her mama’s knife
She says she's sick of everything around

One wider cut
One more scar on her forearm…
She bleeds and seeks redemption from suffering

Angel of hope flutters
Oh look around… stars; moon and sun all are yours

She's unmoved and says,
Go, go, go away…
Because life is nothing but a lyrical journey
A long, bizarre and tiring journey

He was a sweetheart,
Someone she counted on

Anna Anna

*Anna! Anna! This was our Tamanna (wish)
It was a battle for fight to finish
Millions raised a banner of dissent
Nationalism in ruling circle was felt absent

In thousand of years you find only figure
Comes to our rescue for securing future
“Whenever there is excess of everything
I shall come on earth for delivering something”

Anna, you cam e as an apostle of peace
Life was becoming hell and not at all at ease
Human values were at stake and life unstable
No one was able to hold ground well and able

You had no army or backing of muscle power
Hardly could be seen people and counted as fewer
You emerged from no where and held a key
Nothing could stand on the way not even power or money
