Quotes about tack, page 3

Let's give the conventions back to the politicians. If we think there's any news, we can tack it on afterward as commentary. But the conventions should be their show, not ours.

Richard Okay... seatbelts. Just put the little thing into the big thing and... I tell ya what. If you don't know how to fasten your seatbelt, just raise your hand and I'll have Tommy Boy here come back there and hit you in the head with a tack hammer because you're a RETARD

Please come back

Baby I like you miss you please come back
Baby I love you like a maniac

Baby I need you want you please come back
Without you I may go through heart attack

I promise I won't hurt you please come back
To make me feel alright and on the track

Baby I care about you please come back
Baby please rush listen to clock's tick tack

You and I

I explain quietly. You
hear me shouting. You
try a new tack. I
feel old wounds reopen.

You see both sides. I
see your blinkers. I
am placatory. You
sense a new selfishness.

I am a dove. You
recognize the hawk. You
offer an olive branch. I
feel the thorns.

You bleed. I
see crocodile tears. I
withdraw. You
reel from the impact.

The changing course

Help me solve my case,
I'm problematic, help me
reanimate, I need a
russet rush hour to help me
out of this game.
It's no chess, no football, no dancing.
It's but a trial not in court
that you're handling.
I wanna change tack into a bay,
a course directly sewing loose and fasten
pieces of words to be free and solve my case.

The Sailor

I'd like to be a sailor - a sailor bold and bluff
Calling out, 'Ship ahoy!' in manly tones and gruff.
I'd learn to box the compass, and to reef and tack and luff;
I'd sniff and snifff the briny breeze and never get enough.
Perhaps I'd chew tobacco, or an old black pipe I'd puff,
But I wouldn't be a sailor if ...
The sea was very rough.
Would you?

Gift

And so it is
Gift wrapped
And awaiting
The impossible
The improbable
Over-night air
Flight of 'Hope'
So wanting
To be unwrapped
Gift paper
Still in tack
And the ribbon
Too
Saved and
Put away
'Til
That 'maybe'
Fateful day
When all that's
Been penned

A Place Of Solitude

Look out across the windswept hills,
With rainbow hues, with misty blues,
Across the valleys, lakes and rills,
Where landscapes fuse, where eyes peruse,
And rest upon that quaint cottage small,
Tall chimney stack, with smoke of black.
A place of solitude from any squall.
That winding track, that calls you back,
To rest from ills,
To sit and muse.
With thoughts to trawl
With a homing tack.

Mr. Riddle

I like riddles,
how about you.
I can say this,
can you too?

I like riddles,
how about you?
colors.
white and black.
you had tack.

I like riddles.
you play the fiddle.
i have a book,
you have a nook.

I like riddles,
how about you?
guess my answer
to your question.

My Choice, Will Heaven Complain?

If heaven will complain
I don't know,
Endowed so much i am.

My many talents and outfits
Passions me in confusion
Stirring me to see as destiny.
But talent i know is not destiny
Talent, gift of nature nurtured by environ
Destiny, gift of nature nurtured by divinity.
Hands can thwart talent, but
The tick tack of clock even stop
Can't thwart destiny
No matter the weather.
It is inborn, you, yourself, yoursoul.

I don't care if family complain
For my choice,
But i don't know
If heaven will complain.
