Quotes about puppeteer, page 3

Death of the Puppeteer

the day the puppeteer died
with gloved hands
he thrust the shutters open wide
while out at sea
yachts edge balanced on the roof's red tiles
straggling in single file
and light explodes as he sings
and drags his strings
from the crooked white fingers on the bed
a new world unravelling deep inside his wooden head
somehow down the stairs
across the hall
the hotel dog draws back against the wall
he finds the shade
a slatted chair on the promenade

discovered near the carousel
they hung him up to dry
and there he dances in the wind
with wild and staring eyes

Life's Payment

The Devil will take you by the hand
And then he will tell you not to fear
His beliefs and ways you will understand
As he becomes your puppeteer,
You will walk the road that he has paved
Excuses will be the answers for your evil and sin
Then while you're heading for your grave
Only then will you understand the evil within.
GOD will try to take hold of your hand
And will lead you away from sin and transgression
In return truth and righteousness he will demand
And no more hate, or greed, or aggression,
Man knows in life what to withstand
And as the wise man to me once did say
If the devil takes you by the hand,
GOD; will make you pay.

I Am Funny

i am funny
i cry upon hearing the pleas
of the goats
transported from the
market to the
slaughterhouse

it is ridiculous
as others think of the
goat meat well spiced
for their next
sumptuous dinner

i am funny
thinking about the mass killing
of natives in the south
as other still think of the gain
on the next delivery of
guns and ammunition

I Need You, I Want You

satisfy my hunger, satisfy my greed

satisfy my longing, satisfy my need

satisfy my yearning, satisfy my desire

satisfy my craving, with your hose put out my fire

Take me to paradise, take me away

Take me to heaven, every single day

Feed me with your passion, feed me with your soul

Feed me with your fruit, feed me with your control

I need you to want me, I need you to be here

I need you to control me, for you are my puppeteer

The Puppeteer

Manipulate my every move.
I am under your control.
I do just as you make me do.
I'm there to play your role.

I am at your whim and beck and call.
Do with me what you may.
You make me do things I don't want to do.
But this is how you play.

The script is how you wrote it out.
You make me read my lines.
Your story it hurts me way too much.
But it's all by your design.

If I revolt, you pull your hand.
I fall onto the ground.
So I have to be who you want me to.
I dare not make a sound.

The Reality of Life

In my youth, my wings were strong and tireless
I could travel far and wide
I was uncontrollable and limitless
I ran with gazelles
I hung with monkeys from trees
I slept with wolfs
I lived every moment to its fullest
Nothing held me back
I had no timetable, no set schedule
I did whatever perked my interest
Rules were broken, laws were put to shame
The world was a puppet and I its puppeteer
My wings strong and tireless

But now I am old
I am caged in, ensnared, fixed to the system
I cannot travel past my set boundaries
I diligently follow law and order
Things must be done and planned accordingly
The world is a cold, unforgiving place and

Edmonstone

This could have been your love but,
It is now seen in the cloud!
And now, i do understand you better;
All the same, there is nothing i can do about this war.

Edmonstone, tone, me, men, mend, toes, done, seed;
But a puppeteer pulls a string to make his dolls dance!
And like the harmony of love;
However, love is different from lust.

Edmonstone, stone, moon, most, to, so, on, no, ton, tons!
With the muse of peace and with the care of your love;
But, i now understand who you are.

Edmonstone, not, den, need, needs, see, send, sent, set, ten;
With the muse of love up high in the sky! !
All the same, there is nothing i can do about this war.

Edmonstone, net, nets, do, one, does, son, doom, noom, toe;
This could have been your love!

Ah The Trees

Ah the trees soothe the mind
Take time to breathe the air
With the breeze the puppeteer with touch so fair
- They duet, with delicate wave and muted joy
A minuet for bygone kings or tinker boy.
Ah the trees, I leave my madness
As I run through crowded street
Diesel perfume will never smell as sweet
-As the meadow kissed by the breeze
Conducted by the trees.
Finding childhood summers I had lost.
Or winter wood with decor frost.
Ah the trees, where we rest our eyes in shades of green
And butterflies now seldom seen
Flicker in the sun.
When your lips touched mine and we were one
Lost in the rat- race we would run.
Beauty now we find in books
Yet Mother Nature has kept her looks.
Ah the trees, charcoal black as tempests

Butterfly and Bee

Once bee buzzed by the lilting butterfly
tiny wings afire with his speed
aiming for his garden target
rifling along in his usual haste
Butterfly was darting up down and sideways
as if suspended on a string
and pulled about by a drunken puppeteer
Bee had thought of speaking a warning
to local pedestrians those operating
in a different time frame than he
He had tried to say watch out move over I’m coming
but he got no farther than waa
waa and by that time he had come and gone
and all that someone like butterfly
would hear was waa nnnnnn, and so
Bee wondered about his early warning system
perhaps he’d buzz louder – one of these times
there’d be some collision – traveling ninety
leaves per moon dropp is a very very fast pace
And butterfly always slow to take notice

A Deeper Shade Of Gray

A Deeper Shade Of Gray
Date: January 12,2012

With every piece you take away
I paint a deeper shade of gray
Someday the canvas will be filled
My voice unheard, my passion stilled

Locked away in caverns deep
The embers glow, in twilight sleep
Never once to breathe the air
Nor dream to life, what isn’t there

The flames are stifled by abuse
Though I fight, there is no use
Too many days, I’ve wondered why
To chase so hard, what you deny

But I won’t plead or beg of you
I made a vow, I’ll keep it true
