You Don't Read Africa

Never have you ever sat
Or beneath African Suns lay flat
You insist on rumours fat
Liken to a rainy day's door mat
To judge where you haven't testified
And judge what ain't justified

You don't read Africa
You heard it is Hell's replica
With an oasis of virtual bliss
Where on semi-humans and snakes hiss
You watched him report
On a continent he hasn't rapport!

Why do you believe:
That which you perceive?
As Gospel-truth lies you receive?
Those that only your mind deceive?
Making you think 'Africa' is synonym to 'grieve'?

Africa, my Africa of my dream
Here is where I want to be
And here I have always been,
At my end, here is where I want to sleep.
Africa, I have been away for too long
Please don't cry for me my mother
Twenty years is a long time to be
Away from home,
But I am still here, my one home
My Africa, my Africa of my dream
Many are leaving, leaving for America,
But I am still here and here
Is where I will always be,
My Africa is my America.
We are working towards that,
A better Africa, a great Africa!

The star's on the sky, and the dust's on the floor,
And the head has a thought that is thoughtless

Our directions for fights, that from banana colors,
Must be heard, but by darkness in our vengeful sounds!

Beautiful warzone- Africa

Africa a beautiful warzone
Home to me and you and them
But then the grass is not greener across the oceans.
What would a place be with out any negatives?
Ask yourself.
The world loves Africa, but Africa doesn’t love Africa.
We have shared blood in the past we still spill it…

When will Africa be what it ought to be?
A wonderful place where ethnic background doesn’t count,
A place of joy, love, peace and prosperity,
Africa was made with perfection out of love,
Blessed with a wonderful wild life,
The antelopes, birds, lions, elephants and even the fishes,
The sun embraces the beautiful blue sky by day,
And the moon and the stars hide us at night with a blanket of comfort.

Green forests as a cherry on top,
While hidden riches cause havoc, death, and deceit once uncovered.

Night-Night from Africa

What has Africa shown you today?
Was it colour; it's wildlife or just how to play?
What did you do in Africa's bush?
Did you take your time or did you rush?
Slow down, my friend. The animals do.
If observed with care they'll demonstrate too,
how to live life with leisure, wasting no time,
but enjoying the bushveld, like very fine wine.

Did Africa speak to you today?
Did you feel her soul? What did she say?
Did your spirit engage with that of the earth?
Did your humorous side enjoy all her mirth?
Did you smell all her perfumes? Enjoy all her charms?
Did you taste all her flavours from all of her farms?
What stories to tell you will have after this,
of adventure, excitement and Africa's kiss.

This is the place where today you have grown.
Your exposure to bushveld a seed well sown.

Can you hear him?

Can you hear him whispering behind his window
Can you hear the rain tick against the glass ever so slow
To remind him that the rain hasn't stopped for years
But the pavement isn't drenched with water but with blood and tears
The revolution has started, and the mob is cold hearted
Can't distinguish friend from foe, nor those living or departed
All they see is rage and pain
So many different reasons to revolt, but their screams the same
Freedom … Freedom
This is the chant that reaches the sky
These are the words for which many will die
But the revolution doesn't care
So he stands behind his window with an empty glare
And he looks down upon the fighting, the gunshots and the hate
He looks down upon all those who want control over their own fate
They no longer want to rob, just so they can eat
No longer want to be scared walking down their own street
This isn't for oil, religious reasons or terrorists … No
This isn't for wealth, fame or recognition … No
They are fighting for peace

African Boy

I am a young African boy
A unique individual with my own personal inspiration
Which is the golden key to build my future.
With a mind confused
I can still reach politely to others.
With a heart that's has been destroyed
I can still feel and care for others.

With pain that has cut deep down in my heart
I can still fell sympathy for others. with all that is in me I can still overcome those situations.
I can be a person I am
The one whose heart is filled with joy and passion.
