Out Of Their Laurels Like Greek Gods

'At night there are moonlit slugs…
Whose ivory body's comet'
'Out of their laurels' like Greek gods…
'Alone' these horned demons'
Taste the linden air for life.

'A life, that's far beyond aerials.
Far beyond our, own, receivers'
'As they sliver' into the darkness'
A glow… follows in their starless
Path: Through these open spaces.

'A Journey is taken, nightly, blind.
‘This is the quest' of a primrose hope.
'This is a ghostly, passage…
Into a virginal flesh' …unspoken… for.
Such is the hunger of all loves.

… (Even that of slugs') …

A Rebus

I.

A bird delicious to the taste,
On which an army once did feast,
Sent by an hand unseen;
A creature of the horned race,
Which Britain's royal standards grace;
A gem of vivid green;

II.

A town of gaiety and sport,
Where beaux and beauteous nymphs resort,
And gallantry doth reign;
A Dardan hero fam'd of old
For youth and beauty, as we're told,
And by a monarch slain;

III.

A Christmas Folk-Song

The little Jesus came to town;
The wind blew up, the wind blew down;
Out in the street the wind was bold;
Now who would house Him from the cold?

Then opened wide a stable door,
Fair were the rushes on the floor;
The Ox put forth a horned head :
'Come, Little Lord, here make Thy bed.'

Up rose the Sheep were folded near:
'Thou Lamb of God, come, enter here.'
He entered there to rush and reed,
Who was the Lamb of God, indeed.

The little Jesus came to town;
With Ox and Sheep He laid Him down;
Peace to the byre, peace to the fold,
For that they housed Him from the cold!

The Crescent Moon

Slipping softly through the sky
Little horned, happy moon,
Can you hear me up so high?
Will you come down soon?

On my nursery window-sill
Will you stay your steady flight?
And then float away with me
Through the summer night?

Brushing over tops of trees,
Playing hide and seek with stars,
Peeping up through shiny clouds
At Jupiter or Mars.

I shall fill my lap with roses
Gathered in the milky way,
All to carry home to mother.
Oh! what will she say!

Who Will Receive This Portion Of Blame?

A portion of bait blame squarely laid
at the feet of sly Satan the red horned
demon lurking behind closed doors
of deceit dripping with malice thorns
an ancient excuse for all vapour mist evils
excuse for all failures all tribulations
all sorrow all worries all incurred debts
all misses of standard mark all self pities.

God blesses work of hands good will done
works of ill will receive no angel blessings
excuses conform to configure an ill nature.
I ill matured man lay on a host of excuses
I pick choose a myriad of hard luck abuses
reason this that cannot wait to relate ruses.

Planet Micron

A spaceship lands on purple ground
Planet ‘Micron’ it has found
Purple rock and purple trees
People with purple knees

But only one with super power,
That liked to sing in a purple shower,
A laughing caped defeater
Of the one horned back sliding
purple people eater.

From towering buildings in purple brick
Comes the caped defeater with a chick
Steps onto soft purple grass
Orange birds fly away on mass...

The orange feathered birds fly beak to beak,
While on the purple grass the wind blows,
The two super hero’s dance cheek to cheek,
As the purple planets two moons glows.

Prisoners

The prisoners gathered in a pit and,
The mirth of tambourines ceased!
But time is a human invention like,
The fairman and the blackman.

Of the divisions of the time in this world,
Like the salvation for walls and bulwarks;
But read my lines and hear my voice always,
Like a diadem of beauty when you listen to my speech too.

This steps of Nimrod is like the acts of the prisoners too,
But this world's paganism is of a gigantic horned bull-man!
But the prisoners gathered in a pit than,
To sit on the ground without a thrown.
Circumambulation by its owner,
With the creative force like the new wine;
But there will be mourners in times like this one day.

Canzonet

I have no store
Of gryphon-guarded gold;
Now, as before,
Bare is the shepherd's fold.
Rubies nor pearls
Have I to gem thy throat;
Yet woodland girls
Have loved the shepherd's note.

Then pluck a reed
And bid me sing to thee,
For I would feed
Thine ears with melody,
Who art more fair
Than fairest fleur-de-lys,
More sweet and rare
Than sweetest ambergris.

What dost thou fear?
Young Hyacinth is slain,

I was going home (old Russian romance)

When I was going home

My soul was full of love,

I couldn't understand my happiness, my feelings.

It seemed to me that everyone with love

With such a tenderness were looking just at me.

When I was going home

The two horned was the Moon

It gave some light into the boring train going.

The church bells rang and the martins chime

Sang in the air as ever a tender loving string.

Giant Fungus

40-acre growth found in Michigan.
— The Los Angeles Times

The sky is full of ruddy ducks
and widgeon's, mockingbirds,
bees, bats, swallowtails,
dragonflies, and great horned owls.

The land below teems with elands
and kit foxes, badgers, aardvarks,
juniper, banana slugs, larch,
cactus, heather, humankind.

Under them, a dome of dirt.
Under that, the World's
Largest Living Thing spreads
like a hemorrhage poised

to paralyze the earth—like a tumor
