Stardust

Our hearts rule our heads
when it comes to love,
often we leap before we look
and many times disaster occurs
when we are blinded by
the stardust in our eyes.
We see things we want to see
and not what is really there,
we walk the tightrope of love
rushing head long without a care
and get blinded to reality
by the stardust in our eyes.
We stumble on the tightrope
get hurt when we fall,
but climb back on again
when we get more
stardust in our eyes.

Heaven vs Hell

A breath away from heaven, yet a spark away from hell.
I titter on a tightrope of thoughts and deeds that foretell
My future in this life, but may well sacrifice the other…
Unless I’m strong enough to believe there is another.

One day it seems that reams of problems aren’t worth my time;
Then another sunrise bestows fortunes far beyond sublime.
Can it be that there is a spirit that represents all that is good,
And a countervailing force deterring the course of what I should?

Now rules of the game seem to reward only those able to win.
No thought is given to whether their ways are moral, right... or a sin.
For them hell is only a possibility from an economic point of view;
Until they possess all the wealth, that’s the heaven they’ll pursue.

For such individuals heaven and hell can be closer than ever before;
Sadly, addiction to false heavenly riches turn them into hell’s whores.
As I titter on life’s tightrope, both heaven and hell seem oh so near.
Deeds of love and not needs for wealth mean I have nothing to fear.

drifting (still) just beneath
what horror awaits (in roaming waters)
in present day (the calmer you)
the meek hopeful (pretends)
twitches (as if the world is not teetering)
on (its axis) daily (& evolution has)
(provided) swimming avec requins
(a numbness that) holding onto relics (kicks in)
(which allows) arms flailing recklessly (for the absolute tragic)
(to pass) tattooed (before your eyes) , stained within
all the while (without a moment's pause)
(to panic) walking the tightrope (&)
(vomit up) above (the) exploding coals
with (spaghetti) conflagrative skin
with (that) heart (you had) palpitating
a (last) woven mess
of (evening) veins screaming.

Lost your balance on a tightrope
Lost your mind tryin' to get it back
Wasn't it easier in your lunchbox days?

You should have been an angel
It would've suited you
My gold-leafed triptych angel
She knows just what to do
In the half light of morning
In our world between the sheets
I swear I saw her angel wing
My vision was complete
And I know I'll never want another lover my sweet
Can there be more in this world
