As the flectcher whittles and makes straight his arrows, so the master directs his straying thoughts.

Wives don’t sulk.
One leaves the work for a walk
As a break, more to come back
With vigour towards the work.
Husbands straying, wives don’t sulk.

To express
A submissive wife is a strict mother.
A henpecked husband is a terror.
A pampered son is a gut less lot.
A shy daughter is a straying lot.
Each takes another venue to express.

Where Are They Hiding?
Where are they hiding?
The straying cat, the sneaking rat
Where are they hiding?
Under the shadow, inside the hollow
Where are they hiding?
The true face, the real case
Where are they hiding?
Behind the mask, on multiple cracks

To the Night Breeze
BREEZE of the night, across my pillow straying
Breeze of the night, of summer dews begot,
Salt from the sea-shore, where the waves are playing,
Slow, to and fro, my window curtains swaying
Cool my flushed cheeks, by recent sleep left hot.

Husbands to do as wives did.
Straying away has been the man's domain.
Now it has been thrown open to woman.
Ignorance or tolerance of the wife
Was the cause of peace in the family.
For peace to prevail in the family,
Let husband follow what wife has followed.

Yet both are safe.
He is very much attached to his wife
And it does not prevent him from straying.
She is much attached to her husband
And yet is lured by men to slip from line.
Both will not let it grow to an extent
Of breaking their home so they can be safe.

Shades of Twilight
As shades of Twilight
close the day, here in my heart
you come to stay.
Entering with unconditional love,
at the closing of each day,
and never straying very far away.
Who could ask anyone for more?
I think not is what I say,
as shades of twilight
close each coming day.

Strings in the Earth and Air
Strings in the earth and air
Make music sweet;
Strings by the river where
The willows meet.
There's music along the river
For Love wanders there,
Pale flowers on his mantle,
Dark leaves on his hair.
All softly playing,
With head to the music bent,
And fingers straying
Upon an instrument.
