Quotes about monsters, page 2

To The Lord Of Creation

Fires in Greece and Indonesia
tidal waves in Papua New Guine
bombs in Tanzania and Kenya
bombs of revenge for Sudan and Afghanistan
bombs for freedom in Ireland, Israel and Palestine
floods in the Gangtze rivers of China and Korea
nuclear boasts of Pakistan and India
nuclear tests unleashed in your lands and seas.

Here we stand again
before the ugly monsters
that eat up our shelters,
farms and other means to live on.

Here we come again
face to face with monsters
that gooble up lives of people
by the hundreds, by the thousands
and by millons and billions of lost currencies.

Monsters

Believe it or not, their ubiquitous webs
Are everywhere; they are the dictators
Who kidnap, maim, torture and kill teachers,
Poets, ordinary folks and babies in their cribs.
They rob and ransack innocent citizens,
Steal elections and after a lifetime in power,
Categorically refuse to leave the tower.
Very often, they do everything to muzzle the chickens.
Monsters are constantly in disguise,
They are well dressed, they wear uniforms,
They know how to blend and to socialize.
Monsters, at every turn, want to control the dorms,
Manipulate the data, fool the media,
Hire henchmen and spread false propaganda.
Monsters behave like manipulative magicians,
They suck the air out of the innocent bystanders,
Befriend desperate and hungry musicians,
Surreptitiously inveigle the neighbors
To exteriorize their feelings, and they spy and lie,
At every opportunity; and at every occasion,

I See Monsters

Baby, I know you cannot hear me now
'Cause you're fast asleep
But I love you now
Colors inside your head go spinning around
Like a ferris wheel
Exploding and falling to the ground
Oh, people are screaming, people are screaming
My baby, she's dreaming
Oh, people are shouting, people are freaking
I'm just staring at the ceiling
Waiting for the feeling
Oh, oh but when she calls,
I know she's the one
Makes me want her harder
Makes me want to be a little stronger
Still I see monsters
Still I see monsters
Baby, I know you cannot hear me now
'Cause you're flying around
At the speed of sound

Kids With Guns

Kids with guns
Kids with guns
Taking over
But it won't be long
They're mesmerized
Skeletons
Kids with guns
Kids with guns
Easy does it, easy does it, they got something to say "no" to
Drinking out (is she real, is she)
Pacifier (is she real, is she)
Demon souls (is she real, is she)
Street desire (is she real, is she)
Didn't mean to (is she real, is she)
But it won't be long (is she real, is she)
Kids with guns
Kids with guns
Easy does it, easy does it, they got something to say "no" to
And they turn into monsters
Turning us into fire

Beowulf

LO, praise of the prowess of people-kings
of spear-armed Danes, in days long sped,
we have heard, and what honor the athelings won!
Oft Scyld the Scefing from squadroned foes,
from many a tribe, the mead-bench tore,
awing the earls. Since erst he lay
friendless, a foundling, fate repaid him:
for he waxed under welkin, in wealth he throve,
till before him the folk, both far and near,
who house by the whale-path, heard his mandate,
gave him gifts: a good king he!
To him an heir was afterward born,
a son in his halls, whom heaven sent
to favor the folk, feeling their woe
that erst they had lacked an earl for leader
so long a while; the Lord endowed him,
the Wielder of Wonder, with world's renown.
Famed was this Beowulf: far flew the boast of him,
son of Scyld, in the Scandian lands.
So becomes it a youth to quit him well

Fall the Monsters

All the monsters fall,
No matter how powerful, frightening, or tall,
They topple and get broken down,
By small bottom feeders that roam around.

This is the virtue of balance,
To make sure that everything gets an allowance,
So when monsters start hogging it all,
Then all the monsters fall!

Thank You My Love

My life has been filed with monsters.
Monsters that smack me when no one is looking,
Monsters that come in the form of words,
Even ones that push me onto their bed.

I run and hide inside of my computer,
Drowning in my tears,
Because it burns when I cry.
Looking for comfort and someone,
To just tell me,
I don’t hate you Becca Purkey.
This is just what he simply,
whispers into my ear when the moon is now bright.

He wrote his way, his way into my heart.
Within his sexy letters.
Now, within the whispers he shares only with me.
This he requires more and more of it with each sun rise.

In today’s light I can sit up,

Echidna

Eternal entities claim my time's burden,
as all our expectations return in Chaos,
a cause to sleep among Gaia's children,
monsters born eons ago, along with Eos.

Echidna-Adder; beautiful Gaia's daughter,
and Uranus; facial countenance of a deity,
and in a moment of admittance, serpent,
a deathly coil around your defense alterity.

Echidna will provoke and surrender venom,
in worlds, where her beauty is fantasized,
to reach her dark hidden aptitude phenom,
to taste her hedonism charisma edenized.

Echidna stares; to magnetize a hero's soul,
and dance; a perfect reward for prowess,
effused your life is in a cadaverous call,
softly in your stare she will devotedly hiss.

The Flood

On Lolham Brigs in wild and lonely mood
I've seen the winter floods their gambols play
Through each old arch that trembled while I stood
Bent o'er its wall to watch the dashing spray
As their old stations would be washed away
Crash came the ice against the jambs and then
A shudder jarred the arches - yet once more
It breasted raving waves and stood agen
To wait the shock as stubborn as before
- White foam brown crested with the russet soil
As washed from new plough lands would dart beneath
Then round and round a thousand eddies boil
On tother side - then pause as if for breath
One minute - and engulphed - like life in death

Whose wrecky stains dart on the floods away
More swift than shadows in a stormy day
Straws trail and turn and steady - all in vain
The engulfing arches shoot them quickly through
The feather dances flutters and again

The Bogeyman

When I was a child, the Bogeyman
Lived in our water tank,
He'd grumble and rumble and growl all night,
I had my sister to thank,
She told me about his giant claws
And the great big teeth he had,
If I couldn't get to the foot of the stairs
He'd be hot on my heels - How sad!

The tank sat next to the toilet seat
In a cupboard, close to a hatch,
It used to spring open and freak me out,
There was something wrong with the catch,
I'd pull on the rusted, clanking chain
And head for the landing, stairs,
If the water had stopped, before I dropped
The Bogeyman would be there!

He was only a second behind me then,
A second of terrors and fears,
