With these eyes.
With these eyes I have seen the world and all of natures spendour
The ins and outs of everyday life and fools of either gender
Witnessed courage bourn from fear, and truth told in defiance
And acts of wickedness mean of thought and followers of blind compliance
With these eyes I have seen angels wings in hues of white and gold
Snarling dogs and knives that stab and things best to stay untold
Snowy mountaintops and newborn lambs gambolling in fields of green
Treacherous deeds and demon seeds the worst there's ever been
With these eyes I have seen the love between mother and her child
Poverty and famine, hateful racism and rioters running wild
Graceful swans in tanquil ponds under skies of azure blue
Violence and malice, a poisoned challis, naked aggression too
With these eyes I have seen raw courage way beyond belief
Orphaned children of war torn nations crying with sadness and grief
The look of glee when children run free in fields of golden hay
The helplessness of a ravaged addict as he exists from day to day
With these eyes I have seen the sunset over Brighton beach
A dying dog chained to a log with water just out of its reach
Morning dew in the middle of June over fields's of flowering shrubs
Drunken slobs and maddened yobs brawling beside seedy old pubs
