See the Same
When you’re lonely
In the rain,
When the one you long to touch
Is away for eternity;
It’s like the grave
Even if they’re breathing
When you say goodbye.
It’s hard to find the heart
To every day survive
When the messages you receive
Communicate your unworthiness of love,
It’s like searching for a flower
In the aftermath rubble of an earthquake.
I’ll always believe in you
And see the flower within
Peaking through the crevices of your pain,
I hope you will see the same in me.
