It Has Happened At Last /The Face In The Mirror
IT HAS HAPPENED AT LAST
It has happened at last
The face in the mirror
Is the face of an old man-
All the long walking
And the mind- work
And the pretending it could be delayed indefinitely-
Did not prevent it.
Someone I never thought to be
Downward to death in Infirmity.
