I am as old as the poem I will never write
I AM AS OLD AS THE POEM I WILL NEVER WRITE
I am as old as the poem I will never write-
As old as all I have never done,
And never will do,
As old as ‘over the hill forever’
I am as old as all I will not ever be
Through a lifetime of striving-
Old-
And not coming back.
