A Lady's Eye

A teardropp falls from a lady's eye,
Misery seeps into her being,
She gives a deep, breathy, longing sigh,
And dreams about believing.

A shiny veil covers a lady's eye,
The world is dark and blurred,
She gives a moan and wants to die,
But her cries are never heard.

Water runs from a lady's eye,
Clogging up her thought,
Deep inside her creates a cry,
Of joy she never caught.

A lady's eye grows hard and sad,
Never to have the life she dreamed,
At the world she feels painfully mad,
Things were never as they seemed.

A lady's eye grows vacant and cold,
As she dies a lonesome death,
She dies without even a hand to hold,
And nothing to say on her last breath.
