Being Called a Fool and An Idiot

I sometimes miss,
Being called a fool and an idiot.
Especially by those doing it,
Who had been convinced...
And were extremely serious.

Now with so many,
Identified to be legitimate morons...
It seems much harder,
To create a new persona.
And an act I cherished...
Has no need to go on!

Gone are those days...
When I look forward to standing out,
In a crowd!
And preparing for those performances.
That brought laughter behind my back out loud.

Oh,
How I loved to entertain those so uninformed...
But now they are all conformed mourning!
And in a conditioned frame of lamenting sameness of mind!
My eyes I shield...
To hide the dripping of my tears!
