No Trust Anymore
Who can you really trust anymore?
not Politicians and Bankers for a start
many of them are only in it for the money
they smile but really they've got no heart.
And what about all of those cold callers?
who ring you up in the middle of the night
some of them are just confidence tricksters
who pretend to be all sweetness and light.
Then we've got those dodgy Cowboy Builders
who get paid then never finish the job
they're just thieves in overalls
who do no work but just go out to rob.
And in town centres there's beggars
pretending to be sleeping rough on the street
but some of them are really well off
and go out to restaurants to drink and eat.
You've borrowed money to a so called friend
as they say there struggling to make ends meet
six months on your still waiting for it back
and you hear they've just been on holiday to Crete.
So in this World that gets greedier by the day
where everything seems to be unfair and unjust
the question on everyone's lips has to be,
Who on earth can you really trust?
