Rendezvous
It’s like any other day, I suppose
Except that we’re together
Either knew that our time is limited
And it’s fast running out too
But how’s it neither bothered about it?
We knew we should part
Soon we’re amidst disinterested crowds
Running frantically against maniac time
Fighting arrivals and departures
Each in one’s own world
Occasionally we looked at each other
You at me when I looked far into the sky
I at you when your eyes idled at the faceless crowds
My ears heard a hollow murmur…
What exactly did your deceptively phlegmatic
Eyes conceal at that point of parting?
