Never and Always
earth radiant as ever
never and always has
the vibrant sky smiled
with such sunny alacrity
despite the layers
of the centuries
the common ground
tredded traveled razed
ploughed and paved
remains always
as it has been -
the essential starting point
of all earthly ascension
the finch exercises life
every small hop upon land
leading toward path of true flight
