Quotes about winded

Spasm Of Earth Pain

poetic lines speak
poet rage in verse
land rape of forest
human inhabitants

now truly achieve
poetic awareness
define nature dying
dire death throes

hear sharp spasm
of deep earth pain
ice shelf cracks
a mile plus deep

effects of an earth
in severe physical
pain temperature
now fever fueled

Rum And Water

Stifling was the air, and heavy; blowflies buzzed and held a levee,
And the mid-day sun shone hot upon the plains of Bungaroo,
As Tobias Mathew Carey, a devout bush missionary,
Urged his broken-winded horse towards the township of Warhoo.
He was visiting the stations and delivering orations
About everlasting torture and the land of Kingdom Come,
And astounding all his hearers, both the rouseabouts and shearers,
When descanting on the horrors that result from drinking rum.

As Tobias Mathew Carey, lost in visions bright and airy,
Tried to goad his lean Pegasus to a canter from a jog,
All his visions were sent flying as his horse abruptly shying
At a newly wakened-something that was camped beside a log.
It was bearded, bronzed and hairy, and Tobias Mathew Carey
Had a very shrewd suspicion as the object he espied,
And observed its bleary winking, that the object had been drinking,
A suspicion which was strengthened by a bottle at its side.

It was Jacob William Wheeler, better known as "Jake the Spieler,"
Just returning from a sojourn in the township of Warhoo,

Bender

sweet...
could take me around
only to...
I spit
step on my disease, so nice to see me bleed
step on my disease, I cannot contain
slow it down
I'm
so winded
I've fallen down again
taste...
the numb of my teeth
forever...
it made me
spit
step on my disease, so nice to see me bleed
step on my disease, I cannot contain
slow it down
I'm
so winded

Meat Loaf

I'm asthmatic. I was a lot bigger back then, and I still get winded on stage today. But I've learned how to pace it now. I have musical breaks in there.

Send with a sigh to elsewhere embattled friend

I wish him a long-life
Who idles with long johns.
He sees a long-range
The long-sighted and long-winded
Short looker-on
Search a loophole of this loose-leaf book of life.

Pillow Words

Roman alphabetical lucubrations,
left brained hierarchical,
appear awkward concatenations
long-winded, farsical
compared to pillow word pictogram self referential
synthesis

A few of these interviews have gone slightly awry, because every now and again there has been the odd conflict of interest between interviews because of the Iron Maiden record, and I am a bit long-winded.

White Roses

......White roses were fading,
beauteous blooms' life ended,
their last scent you expected,
petals your lips were braiding.

....Unspoken I walked in rain;
I suppose ardent flowers loved,
my course that winded curved,
along a song's whistled refrain.

It Has Been Seven Years (Tribute to 9/11/01)

It has been seven years
Seven years have gone by
We all still feel a bit winded
When we look towards the sky
A landmark once known as The World Trade Center
Is no longer around
It was shredded to pieces by people who had no sympathy
These people sadly drove it right to the ground

From Far, From Eve and Morning

From far, from eve and morning
And yon twelve-winded sky,
The stuff of life to knit me
Blew hither: here am I.

Now-- for a breath I tarry
Nor yet disperse apart--
Take my hand quick and tell me,
What have you in your heart.

Speak now, and I will answer;
How shall I help you, say;
Ere to the wind's twelve quarters
I take my endless way.
