Quotes about tilted

Giving Up Lip When Tilted

What you've got,
I...
Use to have a lot of.
And what you've got...
I,
Once had.
And...
What you've got,
I...
Use to have a lot of.
And...
So glad,
Those times have gone.
And not with me to carry on.

Giving up lip when tilted...
I had.
Giving up attitude with it,
I use to have a lot of.
Running my mouth and not listening...

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate
I saw you today
riding sweet,
in a red chevrolet.
you tilted your head,
and rolled down the window.
lifted your eyes
and I felt the wind blow
knocking my hair all around
It was your voice that made this smooth sound
tilted your head
'get out of the way! '
and that's what I thought you would say.
Chocolate run smooth
'Do you need a ride? '
Chocolate on the move.
as soon as we locked eyes.

Suicidal

Tortured are their portraits,
Hanging.
A few undusted for many years.
And depicting scenes,
Of a life fantasized as serene and innocent.
Free of mystery and mystique.
Tortured are their portraits,
Tilted as if purposedly.
Tilted as if the feelings of being jilted,
By false portrayals stay as they are as reminders.

None seem to be hung centered.
As if set by one in a stupor.
Or hungover from too much reality.
With framed portraits depicting tortured scenes,
Of a crisp and pristined life...
On canvas and documented for authenticity.
But can not be quite lived right to such perfection.
And...
Suicidal,

In The Middle Of...

You've got a LOT that's riding...
But it's not riding right.
Some things you've got there are riding,
Tilted to the side.

You've got a LOT that's riding.
But it's not riding right.
Some things you've got there are riding,
Tilted to the side.

You're in the middle of,
What you should let go.
You're in the middle of...
Grief and sorrow.

You're in the middle of,
What you should let go.
You're in the middle of...
Grief and sorrow.

The Farmer's Daughter Cherry

The Farmer quit what he was at,
The bee-hive he was smokin':
He tilted back his old straw hat--
Says he, 'Young man, you're jokin'!
O Lordy! (Lord, forgive the swar,)
Ain't ye a cheeky sinner?
Come, if I give my gal thar,
Where would _you_ find her dinner?

'Now look at _me_; I settl'd down
When I was one and twenty,
Me, and my axe and Mrs. Brown,
And stony land a plenty.
Look up thar! ain't that homestead fine,
And look at them thar cattle:
I tell ye since that early time
I've fit a tidy battle.

'It kinder wrestles down a man
To fight the stuns and mire:

Some Ways Of Looking At A Black Mouse

[to the reader:
This is part of a series poem...this one
follows 'Instead of You Today One Black Mouse'
which should be read before this one for greater
context. There is a playing going on in both
poems which is not only about love had and lost,
a black mouse that shows up, as well as a dove,
the day before the lover returns permanently
to live in native country of India. There is
a Wallace Stevens' playing with notions of
poetry, meaning, and more, and a playing with
language and signs which shall hopefully lend
some jarring but enjoyable takes/slants/songs/
glyphs.

When you see the 'x's
in the poem, read
'times' as in the
math sign for multi-
plication. & of course

I should be soaring away with my head tilted slightly toward the gods, feeding on the caviar of Shakespeare. An actor must act.
