Quotes about the unexpressed

Was It Something I Didnt Say

Spending another night alone,
Wondering when will I ever see you again.
Thinking what I would give
To get you back baby.
I should have told you how I felt then
Instead I kept it to myself.
I let my love go unexpressed,
till it was too late,
You walked away.
Chorus:
Was it something I didnt say,
When I didnt say I love you.
Was it words that you never heard,
All those words I should have told you.
All those times,
All those nights,
When I had the chance to.
Was it something I didnt say,
Was it something I didnt say.
Always assumed that youd be there,

Was It Something Didn't Say

Spending another night alone
Wondering when I\'m gonna ever see you again
Thinking what I would give to get you back baby
I should have told you how I felt then
Instead I kept it to myself, yeah
I let my love go unexpressed
\'Till it was too late
You walked away
CHORUS:
Was it some thing I didn\'t say
When I didn\'t say "I love you"
Was it words that you never heard
all those words I should have to you
All those times, all those nights when I had the chance to
Was it something I did\'t say
(I did\'t say,Baby..I did\'t say)
Always assumed that you\'d be there
Could\'t forsee the day you\'d ever be leaving me
How could I let my world slip through my hands baby
I took for granted that you knew, yeah

Youre The Top

At words poetic Im so pathetic
That I always have found it best
Instead of getting em off my chest,
To let em rest - unexpressed.
I hate parading my serenading,
As Ill probably miss a bar,
But if this ditty is not so pretty,
At least itll tell you how great you are.
Youre the top! youre the collosseum,
Youre the top! youre the louvre museum,
Youre the melody from a symphony by strauss,
Youre a bendel bonnet,
A shakespeare sonnet,
Youre mickey mouse!
Youre the nile! youre the towr of pisa,
Youre the smile, on the mona lisa!
Im a worthless check, a total wreck, a flop!
But if baby Im the bottom,
Youre the top!
Youre the top, youre mahatma gandhi,

Found You Now

I know that you already take as read
I helped you
You know the back of my hand
I wish that we were enchanted
Girl, now I take it for granted
Your love was starin me right in the heart
Why does our pride make us weak?
While I was wonderin where to start
You were there to show me
All I had to learn
You were way off the mark
Most of it in the dark
Found you now
Tiny light, give the peace
With which we reach indecision
I guess we lived in the meantime
Till we remembered our first lines
We must have missed a turn
Still got a lot to learn
Found you now

Found You Now

(g. numan/r. palmer)
I know that you already take as read
I helped you and lost the back of my hand
I wished that we were enchanted
Girl now I take if for granted
Your love was staring me right in the heart
Why does our pride make us wait
While I was wondering where to start
You were there to show me all I had to learn
We were way off the mark
Must have been in the dark
Found you now
Finding light in the ease
With which we reach indecision
I guess we lived in the meantime
till we remembered our first lines
We must have missed our turn
Still got a lot to learn
Found you now
So now we live a life of give and take

The Legendary Untold

So many words have been spoken
Yet things remain unexpressed
So many words have been spoken
Yet things remain unheard.

Speaking is busy everywhere
Yet the untold entity is there.
He resides in the every corner of the heart
Of every man, like a blind black stone
He is a deaf and dumb walking down the road.
He is writhing in the secluded lane of the vein.
He is the flaming fire of the soul
As an Unextinguished burning coal.

No ventilation no language
Pent up feelings falling like foliage.
Is he a dead volcano or a pressure cooker?
A spark is needed from the bonfire
To burst to burn down every things every where.

Empty

Can this be my poem?—this poor fragment
Of bald thought in meanest language dressed!
Can this string of rhymes be my sweet poem?
All its poetry wholly unexpressed!

Does it tell me of the dreams that wandered,
In the silent night-time, through my brain?
Of the woven web of wondrous fancies,
Half of keenest joy and half of pain?

Does it tell me of the awful beauty
That came down to hide this sordid earth?
Does it tell me of the inward crying?—
Of the glory whence it had its birth?

Only as the lamp, all dull and rusted,
Tells me of the flame that is put out,—
Of the shiny hair and happy faces
Lighted, when its radiance streamed about?

Autumn

Autumn 'tis! Our garden stands
Flowerless and bare,
Dizzy whirling yellow leaves
Fill the wind swept air.
Yet the distant mountain ash
In the vale below,
With our favorite berries red
Now begins to glow.
While with rapture and with pain
Throbbing in my breast,
Pressing hot thy hands in mine,
Silent, unexpressed--
Fondly gazing in thine eyes,
Through my tears I see--
That I can never tell thee
How dear thou art to me!

Spring

'YES, Spring has come,' the grocer said,
And tied a final knot of string,
Rang up the change and becked his head,
Elated at the breath of Spring.

'Yes, Spring has come,' the poet said,
And poured his ecstasy in rhymes,
Which eager, homesick exiles read
Long winter-locked in frozen climes.

Perhaps the grocer's way was best,
If joy can better be, or worse:
He saved his rapture unexpressed,
The poet spent his for a verse.

Mounting Shores

It is at such moments all times blend
and tomorrow and yesterday stand
divided on a faded boundary
a frontier of a lost rotation
This lost frontier of identity calls out to me
Like a far sailing boat waves to the lost soul
on the banks of a disappearing eternity painted by a river.

In my canvas I have portraits of diverse lands
When I sit in loneliness I am perturbed
by too much company of myself
Silence becomes louder voice and I seek desperately
for an unending hideout
from this sky limit vastness
of a unexpressed

I had never prepared for the passage of time
So this moment when I find myself
No longer young as my last song
I stand with nothingness of words
