Picking My Poison

More and more it feels like the stresses of life are clouding me, like a thick wall of fog through which I can barely see

It feels like all this stress is strangling me, help somebody please! It feels as though I can barely breathe!

But wait while yet all this stress continues to strangle me, there is also this pounding pressure I can feel inside of me

The pressure of taking care of you, the pressure of to myself staying true, the pressure to be who you want me to be, the pressure of never making a mistake for fear that you'll never again be able to look at me

The pressure of trying to succeed, the pressure of always trying to make you proud of me, the pressure of trying to make everybody happy, little do they know that sooner or later all this pressure will finally destroy me

But even if this pounding pressure I feel inside doesn't do me in first, there's still this strangling stress that continues to choke me, and honestly I don't know which poison is worst.

The Human Sacrifice

I.
FAR from his close and noisome cell,
By grassy lane and sunny stream,
Blown clover field and strawberry dell,
And green and meadow freshness, fell
The footsteps of his dream.
Again from careless feet the dew
Of summer's misty morn he shook;
Again with merry heart he threw
His light line in the rippling brook.
Back crowded all his school-day joys;
He urged the ball and quoit again,
And heard the shout of laughing boys
Come ringing down the walnut glen.
Again he felt the western breeze,
With scent of flowers and crisping hay;
And down again through wind-stirred trees
He saw the quivering sunlight play.
An angel in home's vine-hung door,

blaring train
declaring right-
of-way,

elephantine, cyclopean,

The recent murder of the reporters

Some reporters are being murdered
In Bangladesh recently
And most of the times
Justice is denied or delayed
For lame excuses

Killing a reporter
Is like strangling a brave truthful person
Who is rare and much needed
In any society

Reporters are like mirrors of the world
Murdering them is like
Breaking the mirrors into pieces
That can hurt others

General Fonseka’s entry into politics: Is it the end of democracy in Sri Lanka?

As a simpleton I do not see any difference in between War and Politics.
In the battlefield you kill the enemies by Arms & Ammunition.
But it's rather change in politics as most of the hypocrites use wet towels for the said purpose instead of shooting they do it by strangling,
I suggest that the General could get a retirement and wear a saffron robe for the end of journey?
