RHYME RANT ON PROSE RANTS
Prose which with capitals would rant
against pet hate, for favoured cause
is often filled with fatal flaws,
or pays attention far too scant
to harmony, stays ignorant
of rhythm which enhances, draws
skein polychrome. Its pointed jaws
restrict free scope increasing cant,
seldom perceived as elegant.
True poet purity implores
to etch, to sketch, to open doors
upon perspective which prose [r]ant
encounters rarely where it roams
on well trod trails of barren tomes.

Shout Shout

Correct me if you think that Im mistaken
I wouldnt want to overstate my case
But while Im the one bringing home the bacon
Ive got a right to be heard around this place
You seem to think that life dealt you a bad deal
On the day we both pronounced the words I do
You yell at me for hours about what bugs you
Well thats a waste of time cos I can do that too
Shout shout dont leave a doubt
Smash up the place or throw things about
You wont change a thing by doing that
Rant rave pull out your hair
Turn on the tears, I still wont care
You dont move me an inch when you do that
Im trying my best to be your husband
And a father to our little baby girl
And Id rather rely on my own judgement
Than the vagaries and fashions of this world
If you wanted a doctor or a lawyer
You should have married one of them instead of me

They've bailed the automakers out...
But there's no one about,
To drive.

They've listened to them rant and shout...
But there's no one about,
To drive.
Or
To keep them alive.

And why...
Why now is gas so cheap?
When people can't afford it.
And why...
Why are they losing sleep?
When they're making cars that people can't keep!

In a Mans World

In groups they congregate
To quietly and openly segregate
They pick on females to discriminate
And decide on strategies to eliminate

In a mans world
The female specie is viewed as inadequate
Favouritism and sexism persistently operate
In the workplace they give her the squeeze
And unjustly tease her as they please

In a mans world
Think about this and let your thoughts linger
The only females that stand a chance
To be viewed as an individual of importance
Are those who can play Mozart with one finger!
They are role models who are bionic
With prolific skills that are super sonic

Colour and warmth came into your world,
It makes me crazy,
When you dont get what you want,
You scream and you shout,
Youre still a baby.
Dont give me a line,
Keep the lid on the bottle this time,
Im still a lady,
I wont do it tonight,
I wont do it tonight,
No way baby,
I wont give in and I wont feel guilty.
Rant and rave to manipulate me,
From the nipple to the bottle,
Never satisfied,

If I rant, if I rave
It is from love, at you I rage
It is my maddening heart's desire
To see you through, to lift you higher
To lead you to a better place
Where life's fulfillment, be your grace
A wish for future days to hold
A haven safe, within God's fold
Reared by tongue, trained by switch
Neither left you in a hitch
Scrambling for a crumb to eat
Or too weak to pull you to your feet
Though our desires may not agree
There's no more precious gift to me
Than to see you grow into a man

What's Cooking?

Simmering on life's back burner
I have observed you coming to a full boil
Bubbling with heat...
Rage does have it's way with you
Your hardened arteries struggling with change
Senile rage overcomes you...
As you try again and again to get your point across!
You are a direct contradiction you know
'Movie stars are trash' (but not Eastwood) !
There is no way to turn your burner off
Though we'd love to;
You always arriving un-invited
Slinking through the back door
Elderly spy that you are
Teeming with red heat
Obviously not knowing any better
Never seeing the light
Or just not caring;
