After the Lotus Flowers Have Opened

Lotus flower open after west lake good
Carry wine come time
Not use flag pennant
Before behind red curtain green canopy follow

Paint boat punt enter flower deep place
Scent float gold cup
Mist rain small small
One piece pipes song drunk in return
After the lotus flowers have opened- West Lake is good.
Come for a while and bring some wine,
There's no need for flags and pennants,
Before and behind, red curtains and green canopies follow.

The painted boat is punted in to where the flowers are thick.
Fragrance floats round golden cups,
Mist and rain are so, so fine,
In a snatch of pipes and song I drunkenly return.

Tinkling wind chimes

Scenes of Summmer
Long, balmy nights
Aircraft against blue sky
Vapour trail writing
Lawn mowers buzzing
Barbecue lighting
Fun bouncy castles
Families out biking
Backpacks on
Walking and hiking
Splishing and splashing

The Idler’s Calendar. Twelve Sonnets For The Months. June

A DAY AT HAMPTON COURT

It is our custom, once in every year,
Mine and two others', when the chestnut trees
Are white at Bushey, Ascot being near,
To drive to Hampton Court, and there, at ease
In that most fair of English palaces,
Spend a long summer's day. What better cheer
Than the old ``Greyhound's,'' seek it where you please?
And where a royal garden statelier?

The morning goes in tennis, a four set,
With George the marker. 'Tis a game for gods,
Full of return and volley at the net,
And laughter and mirth--making episodes
Not wholly classic. But the afternoon
Finds us punt--fishing idly with our rods,
Nodding and half in dreams, till all too soon
Darkness and dinner drive us back to town.

Levator Ani Is King

As to pussies I (frankly) prefer
just plain smoothness and none of that fur.
As the alley is paved
so the cave must be shaved
then the motorcar truly will purr.

It is eerie and dark in a cave,
just the place for the bold and the brave.
I go deep in the tunnel
with my smooth-talking funnel
he is conqueror, warrior and slave.

There are times when I wonder about
and my mind is all swollen with doubt,
praise the shape of the boob,
her endogenous lube
and the squirt-on-command litle spout.

Skip biology, physics and math,
be a bum or a sociopath,
