Why are you smiling so broadly?
It is clear you have been prevented,
From achieving your wishes and desires.

'Really?
Gee, I didn't know that.
And which wishes and desires,
Am I being prevented to achieve? '

Only you would know that.
Maybe those who are trying to prevent you,

Passionately Irate

In my own acquiescence,
I passively consented...
To those activities,
I could have easily prevented.

I've relied too long on documents,
To uphold my sentiments.
And although no one seems,
To be protecting my interests...
Do I have the right,
To protest in argument?

And why if I should do this...
Will I be regarded as a rebel?
With evil intent!
Should I care,
Since I alone have chosen to speak out...
In my own defense.
With no regard as to who is offended.

And prevented my feelings from yielding.
After being burned I have learned,
Never hop back in hot spots.

If madness was consumed by sanity

if madness was consumed by sanity,
would ward rounds be necessary.
if anarchy was disolved by harmony,
would the upholders of the law,
be shown the door.
if death was prevented,
and life eternally extended,
would the men in black,
shack up
and retire.
if love ruled strong,
and its fruit never turn sour,
would we then be happy.
if poverty was sold to luxury,
would the needy not need charity.

if madness was consumed by sanity,
where would all the great writers be,
if anarchy was dissolved by harmony,
would robots be all we see,

How can anyone be excited,
To live an existence that is mundane?
With all there is that is freely given,
Why are minds limited to only complain?

Have choices made become that restricted,
To leave one feeling they can not resist...
A needlessness?
Has it come to just money and things people wish?

Flow need not 'know

FLOW NEED NOT 'KNOW'

Abstract seems role-reversal, wrong
tack, off the tracks, emotions vented,
sore, flawed, unscored or scorning song,
cacophany to be prevented.
Flow need not 'know', for verse glows strong
with dream domain's home-truths presented.
Blank rant is rarely found among
felicities that Chance has scented,
blooming spontaneously along
lightwaves braving represented
barriers, blocks, constraints headstrong.
Brain's hard disc must be defragmented.
Talent - too misrepresented -
mistrusts far edge bars implemented.

Grassroots And By-Products Of The Ghetto

Suited with blessings I have been,
To live amongst 'my' people.
People others consider to be grassroots,
And by-products of the ghetto.

There is nothing like knowing,
An environment from its core.
Or a place and how it operates,
By the reflection of how the people are treated.

And when divisions and disrespect is shown,
Immediately I see and connect as to how this can exist.
Who allows it to happen.
And those if they wished...could have long prevented it.

Farewell Matriarch of the maternal line

Saying good bye is hard to do
A farewell that she was not allowed to show you
You passed on, during the winter solstice
At the start of a lunar eclipse

Prevented from coming to your side
Stopped from answering your call in your greatest hour of need
She has cried oceans of tears, missing your guidance
No longer having your age old wisdom to heed

As the moon passed over the sun
Your life slipped slowly away
After a long battle, hard fought, bravely endured
You left this world and passed on to the next

The last encounter she experienced
You did not remember the then present
A mind once so clear and sharp
