Quotes about night cycling

Free Floating Images Ignite Impassioned Fireworks

woodward life blood runs through the heart of me
branding my body with the city's improbable chemistry
penetrating deep into my personal territory
days rise and fall cycling successive storms
seasons blazing forth with flags of nacre and napalm
heat lightning fluid thunder
spells of electric shock and euphoria
desire carves deep craters
breast of night ripples in respite
gentle rivers whisper deep sleep suggestions
death blows delivered brief as a sneeze
the air conditioner grumbles and sweats
running all day in sticky summer heat
tirelessly lifting the pen
pissing into the wind
thoughts pit matching wits with paper
locked in the playful throws of poetry's labor
inside intimacy bathing in warm broth
trance inducing self elapsing smooth -
- fusion high vibrational frequencies

Glance at fireplace, feeling somewhat woeful.
Reminisce about my city beautiful.

Childhood, open spaces, song of Bulbul.
Cycling to school in fog, feel bit wistful.
Now cooped up on seventh floor in a high rise.
Eavesdropp at my avian mate and realise

With surprise, we are misfits and loners.
Why it shuns trees and prefers asphalt floors?
Its eyes look sort of haunted, rarely speaks.
Don’t recall lately with anything in its beak.

Hunting when in teen.

That was the age of nineteen,
The age for searching for the queen.
Many were spotted on line,
None of whom was to my design.

I sighted her on the bank
Of a tank on a dusky night,
With her two sisters to flank.
It was a temple festive feat.

She was fatter than the sisters.
She was darker than the sisters.
She only pulled me to her side
By her freshness and youngness.

Can I pull her? – A challenge,
Her formidability threw to me
To test how best I can stand
To win over a woman’s hand.
