Quotes about lioness

Her Love For A Pet Lioness

She loves of act in strangeness, in imagination,
She boils herself to be a connoisseur of an animal life,
And asked her husband, “I want have a pet lioness.”
Her husband, being puzzled with her thronging zeal,
Questioned her, “Better I can purchase a dog for you,
And dog is more comfortable for taking care of as pet.”

She does not pay heed to her husband’s requests,
And on more wondrous way, defends her necessity,
Expressing more plethora for love of a pet lioness,
That she wants to hold her cause to establish that
She wants to draw something new in wilderness,
That has a replication on the lioness manifestoes,
And she says to him, she cannot sit in a bathtub
In cool condition to be pretty one for the emancipation
And as she has suitable money in her bank account,
That is financed by her husband’s income,
She has only the consent of the husband to fulfill the idea.

Her husband being vexed with such a taste of life,

One evening fox’s house burned

With message ‘’ if there is place in house
To sleep in’’ and cautioned his children

The fox children went said what their
Mother told them, the lioness said
‘’ nothing will eat you, come, don’t fear’’
The fox children returned and said

The fox said what bring ‘’ eat you ‘’
In conversation, ‘’we shall not go’’

A Regal Pose

One lioness stood out a mile
And thus in stature grows,
As though she had a sense of style,
Possessed a regal pose...
Had she observed some ancient rules
To win such fervent stares?
Did she have eyes like limpid pools
To catch some in her snares?

One lioness transcended all
And others knew their place,
She held the lions in her thrall
Through dignity and grace...
Her hunting skills unbeaten here,
She shifted moods to suit
And chief of all, she knew no fear,
Not foolish, just astute...

One lioness still in her prime,
A prize if courted well,

Focussed

All senses now are focussed well,
Survival calls again,
The lioness obeys its spell
That haunts both beasts and men...
The hunger gnaws within us all,
It comes and will not budge
And why, united by its thrall,
We serve, yet with a grudge...

The lioness now stalks her prey...
With eyes and ears alert,
With nostrils flared for scents that stray
Within the land of hurt...
For here it is that death draws near,
As Mother Nature knows...
And all at once, peace turns to fear,
Till life comes to a close...

The lioness may look refined,
Defiant, noble, brave,

Journey To The Kingdom Of Dark Prince(Sun Princess-VI)

The Princess awe-stuck asked the Dark-prince at once
'But how could you reach our kingdom as my horse? '
'In Wizi-quizy -witchy fair, your court sorceress,
bought me though, I couldn't tell her as days were worse!
Told the Prince and pleaded princess to touch him then,
with her magic wand, to turn him to, the large-winged bird.
Princess, felt very ashamed, how could she ride on his back?
The Prince laughed, and said -'Princess, I'm your guard.
But I need you to dispel the dark-spell of evil wizard.
My parents are captivated in his prison, under his spell.
We have to get before night falls, with all black-art.
Touch, touch me with your magic stick without any fail.'
Reluctantly, Princess did so, and rode on the mythical bird.
They whispered all the way and the prince told how did he,
fall in love with the princess since he saw her in her realm!
Then the princess said, 'O, O my prince! 'ashamed was she!
As they were going near Dark-realm, the light of the sun was
Fading out, fading out and fading out, the vista thus changed.
The woods, rivers, seas and hills lost their color natural...
Only black, and black and black, also darkness there reigned.

The Tower Beyond Tragedy

I
You'd never have thought the Queen was Helen's sister- Troy's
burning-flower from Sparta, the beautiful sea-flower
Cut in clear stone, crowned with the fragrant golden mane, she
the ageless, the uncontaminable-
This Clytemnestra was her sister, low-statured, fierce-lipped, not
dark nor blonde, greenish-gray-eyed,
Sinewed with strength, you saw, under the purple folds of the
queen-cloak, but craftier than queenly,
Standing between the gilded wooden porch-pillars, great steps of
stone above the steep street,
Awaiting the King.
Most of his men were quartered on the town;
he, clanking bronze, with fifty
And certain captives, came to the stair. The Queen's men were
a hundred in the street and a hundred
Lining the ramp, eighty on the great flags of the porch; she
raising her white arms the spear-butts
Thundered on the stone, and the shields clashed; eight shining
clarions

Sonnet: Each One is Strong However Weak

The Lion thinks ‘tis meant for tougher tasks;
And spares the Lioness and cubs hard works;
The Lioness is tough too though it masks;
Appearing gentle while it lurks.

Man keeps all tougher jobs in his purview,
And spares women and children from much risk;
Yet, when ‘tis time, women too change their hue,
And children too don’t always like lambs frisk.

The weaker creatures have their tougher side,
That is brought out in times of dangers, need;
One’s toughness is something, we wish to hide,
Don’t underestimate even a weed.

Each creature has innate strengths well-concealed;
In times of need, this gets sometimes revealed.

Partners

The lion and the lioness,
Together, side-by-side,
Like a Duke next to his Duchess,
Surveying all with pride...
To them, this land was all they had
Beneath the stars above,
Except for all the joys they had,
Like others who'd found love...

As partners now, the world was theirs,
As long as each would live,
As long as they preserved their shares
And had so much to give...
No longer living selfishly,
As each one played their part
Towards their greater destiny
That beats in each rare heart...

They stood as one, they thought as one,
With wisdom now defined,

Little Jewel

Lioness cub, you look so cool,
Despite the hot sunshine.
Lioness cub, you little jewel,
So calm as you recline...
You take your ease! Yes, settle there...
You've not got much to do...
And if you did, you wouldn't care.
You'd rest the whole day through.

Can't blame you, though! It's flaming hot!
It's something I can't stand!
That's why I'm rooted to the spot...
Let others puff and pant!
Today's the day I'll take it slow...
Like you, I'll take my time...
There's no point being on the go...
Stay still... it's not a crime.

They say that lions are born free,
So who am I to scoff?

Mother's Favourite

Of all her cubs, this one was best,
The lioness believed,
When by this one was so impressed,
Asked what could be achieved...
For now, a playful scamp, no more,
Yet eyes alert all day,
Exploring till he knew the score,
Content to know the way...

He wasn't too rough on the rest,
A few chewed tails, that's all,
Yet not too much as if a pest,
So that he'd always brawl...
He lived life well, yet somehow thought
There's so much more than this,
Yet by life now was firmly caught,
For it seemed utter bliss...

The lioness chose to invest
With extra time to share,
