Treated less than human beings.
And labelled refugees!
For purposes to show how low,
Demons can demean.

You are in my mind.
And from my insight I wont let go.
Don't think God has forgotten.
Your lives have been prioritized.
Know this...
God loves you so!

Those who still can not believe,
We are all inhabitants of one Earth.
All of us born to one day die.
To nourish and replenish this Earth as dirt.
Lessons they have yet to learn...
Concerning what goes around eventually returns.

The gulf coast, we all know now, after Katrina, is responsible for 25 percent of U.S. production of natural gas. Following Katrina and Rita, almost 75 percent of the natural gas production in the gulf was shut down and not producing.

We've certainly learned a lot of lessons from Katrina, from Rita. Rita was better than Katrina. We're doing a better job planning. We're closer - more closely aligned with the Department of Defense. These things would be positive things if we were to have another attack.

Katrina, Katrina

Katrina, Katrina we felt your winds blow,
With no idea how your waters would flow.
Now we stand in cities forever downed,
Amid homes and bodies forever drowned.

The stench of destruction so many have shared;
A tragic price from politicians ill prepared.
Hopefully, this time the lesson is learned,
And won’t be misguided by those unconcerned.

Costs of prevention are the only way, since
Costs of cure are more than money can pay.

Dot I told der leedle folks--

A yellow band of light upon the street
Pours from an open door, and makes a wide
Pathway of bright gold across a sheet

To be honest, I have done a lot of exciting and challenging things. However, what is the most fulfilling to me is the work that I do on a daily basis, in taking care of my patients and my experience as a medical correspondent on television. Traveling to Pakistan to cover the earthquake, helping Katrina disaster victims, and seeing so many children who were injured and homeless had a very humbling effect upon me. You realize that a lot of what we worry about in our daily lives pales in comparison to the horrors most people face in this world, and that true happiness and contentment are achieved not through fame or riches, but by the ability to impact the lives of others and to evolve as a person. My long term goals include continuing the humanitarian work about which I am passionate, continuing to work as a medical doctor, and expanding that into work as a medical correspondent.
