Quotes about glimpse
Just A Glimpse
Just wait, there's no need to frustrate
Waiting is the best part
I'll see you it's only a matter of time (before i)
I love you, and no one can take that away (still crying)
To prove to you, this isn't just an obsession
(Your soul) lights up inside (scared of my own dreams)
Super imposed (wanting to be free)
You twist the ocean (cry myself to sleep)
It tastes good, to me
Sweet, sour, flavour (still crying)
Your taste, makes, cringe and smile
(Your soul) lights up inside (scared of my own dreams)
Super imposed (starving for release)
You twist the ocean (cry myself to sleep)
It tastes good, to me
Just one more glimpse
Just one more glimpse (please let me in)
Just one more glimpse (scared of my own dreams)
Just one more glimpse (one more glimpse of you)
(if you can help)

A glimpse
a glimpse
the half opened door
some would say
a half closed door
it all depends on the
state of mind you are in
well half closed for pessismist
and half opened for optimist
half opened or half closed door
so long as it is open
and not close
a good exercise for the mind
of a story teller, novelist, a film maker
a glimpse at the half closed door
the mind is thrown open
like the kick you would give
a half opened door
so that you and pet cat could
glide through easily
the stories that start coming out

Flowerbed
Placed in the midst
Of a twilight zone
My vision went hazy,
My fancy disoriented,
And while my failed dreams
Were in desperation
I had a glimpse
At the loveliest of faces.
Under a white veil.
I stole a glance of the loveliness
Of the countenance benign,
While lamenting
Over the distorted reflections
On the fragmented glass remains
Of my dreams
Of phenomenal dimension,
Which I had fondled
And renewed over the years.

Avon's Harvest
Fear, like a living fire that only death
Might one day cool, had now in Avon’s eyes
Been witness for so long of an invasion
That made of a gay friend whom we had known
Almost a memory, wore no other name
As yet for us than fear. Another man
Than Avon might have given to us at least
A futile opportunity for words
We might regret. But Avon, since it happened,
Fed with his unrevealing reticence
The fire of death we saw that horribly
Consumed him while he crumbled and said nothing.
So many a time had I been on the edge,
And off again, of a foremeasured fall
Into the darkness and discomfiture
Of his oblique rebuff, that finally
My silence honored his, holding itself
Away from a gratuitous intrusion
That likely would have widened a new distance

Sans People
Will you let me have a glimpse of people?
People on the streets? People sauntering by, people smiling.
People intending to take a right turn,
Suddenly changed the mind and took to the left.
People across the meadows,
Past the shops, cinemas, theatres, Opera houses,
People racing down, people in the cars, bus, tram, train.
How I wish to have a glimpse of them, the procession of people!
Will you let me have a glimpse of them-
Men, women and children in the houses?
Am I to live only with the fluky glimpse of a strip of cloud
Or the streak of sun, penetrating through the chinks of my window?
People, they said are barred out,
I've to live the rest of my life sans people.

Accepting The Possibities
I won't stop.
A heart as solid as a rock.
Heading to the top of the bluff.
Just one glimpse of you.
Just whisper of name is enough to drive me insane.
Any man would feel the same.
Only if they knew you the way I do.
I won't stop.
A heart as solid as a rock.
Heading to the top of the bluff.
I got my bruises and scars.
I've been through the marshes of pain.
A swampy mess that at times seems as if though it doesn't want to let go.
But I know, I know.
I have a picture of my snow white hidden in my very own special place in a very special birthday frame.
It was one of kind it was giving to me as anniversary present.

Ive Known No War
Ive known no war
Ive known no war
And if I ever do I wont know for sure
And if I ever do I wont know for sure
Wholl be fighting whom
Wholl be fighting whom
For the soldiers lonely tomb
For the soldiers lonely tomb
Now opens as soon as the referees gun starts to roar
Now opens as soon as the referees gun starts to roar
Ill know no war
Ill know no war
Galbraith took his pen
Galbraith took his pen
To break down the men
To break down the men
Of the german army defeated
Of the german army defeated
On the nineteenth day
On the nineteenth day

A Day At Tivoli - Prologue
Fair blows the breeze—depart—depart—
And tread with me th' Italian shore;
And feed thy soul with glorious art;
And drink again of classic lore.
Nor sometime shalt thou deem it wrong,
When not in mood too gravely wise,
At idle length to lie along,
And quaff a bliss from bluest skies.
Or, pleased more pensive joy to woo,
At twilight eve, by ruin grey,
Muse o'er the generations, who
Have passed, as we must pass, away.
Or mark o'er olive tree and vine
Steep towns uphung; to win from them
Some thought of Southern Palestine;
Some dream of old Jerusalem.
Come, Pilgrim-Friend! At last our sun outbreaks,
And chases, one by one, dawn's lingering flakes.

Glimpse of Heaven
To love you was a glimpse of heaven
Now fading like a ship of dreams
Gliding on an azure horizon
Where faintest of all hope still gleams.
But me, I'm dead in the water
And as i drown in this lonely sea
I try to reach your hand, so desperately.
To love you was like a glimpse of heaven
Sweet kisses fly with the dawn
I lay with aching heart alone with just Sellotape
Our great love story torn
But you are in my head and in my heart
These memories will my sanity save?
My life was worthwhile at last with your kiss
And the glimpse of heaven that you gave.

Glimpse
In all my time I've seen but a glimpse
Of forgotten favours, odd behaviours
And life on a whole
Life on the role of an elder
On the promise of what and what not to tell her
Little is truth that could be reasoned with sanity
Or held close to the devilish vanity
Which the world holds as a trait
The glimpse I have seen holds little experience
Nor the acceptance of life and of fate
Just little people playing their part
To uphold the worlds fragile state
So I watch and review as best as I can
Is the world dependent on beast or on man?
For I see just a glimpse of the peace we expect
Less peace than there would be if we didn't reject
The severity our actions reflects on the future we hold
