Quotes about genre

Focus in on the genre you want to write, and read books in that genre. A LOT of books by a variety of authors. And read with questions in your mind.

I'm a working actor so I never really pick a film because of a genre, and I don't really turn them down because of genre. Anything that's unlike the picture I just finished is always more interesting.

To me, fantasy has always been the genre of escape, science fiction the genre of ideas. So if you can escape and have a little idea as well, maybe you have some kind of a cross-breed between the two.

Readers respond to every genre intensely, if it's a genre that appeals to them. Again, who can say why anyone enjoys horror and dark fantasy? If I can't answer the question for myself, I wouldn't dream of trying to answer it for others.

Month of February finishes
And March comes
With heavy snow here?
Frozen tears fallen from the sky
As she cannot bear the severe coldness
It seems?
And I think of my loving deceased Mother
Who secured me for nine months in her
Precious polyphony Womb?
How she cried deeply
When she heard that my handsome father
Met an accident in his young age?
Both were in a secluded place now
And practice their favorite *dance
That I am sure.
But I would like to know that
Your place get snow and bombs too sometimes
What we get on this planet Earth

Aux proscrits
EN PLANTANT LE CHÊNE DES ÉTATS-UNIS D'EUROPE
DANS LE JARDIN DE HAUTEVILLE HOUSE
LE 14 JUILLET 1870
I

Opening
I don't wanna crossover
Between this genre, that genre
Between you and I is where
I wanna crossover, cross the line
I just wanna go further
Between here and there, grow wiser
Together you and I - we can
Cross all borders, you and I
Only, only you can make me...
