Transformation Extraordinaire

For this I know, it was not so long ago I met a captivating butterfly
On its journey by and by perched this butterfly on my windowsill
Beautiful the butterfly to my eye brought a tear I dry
Every waking moment I tried to spend with my friend the butterfly for which I had fallen

Colors so great of interest I could relate to the magnificent butterfly
Day in day out time without a doubt moments spent the striking butterfly
Morning rendezvous I spent with you my gorgeous butterfly of love so true
Anything I would try for you I would die for my vivacious butterfly
Having you was paradise for things were so nice my delightful butterfly
Never showing your true colors I loved you like no other enchanted butterfly

Till that day it all went away for alterations came to the exuberant butterfly
Metamorphosed and modify to the butterfly into a dragonfly
Where went my butterfly I asked why turn I to the dragonfly
Buzzing at my ear without a care wisp the dragonfly
Messages no longer conveying, nor in one place staying, dashed the dragonfly

Time spent so rare but I still cared for the beautiful butterfly within
I saw less and less of the dragonfly busy so I cried for my transformed butterfly

This is what happens when I get bored..

Once, there lived two twin fairies. Even though they were sisters, they had been best friends. One day they were walking home, and they saw the hottest pixie they had ever seen. They immediately both wanted him. They started arguing over him. So loud, in fact, that the pixie asked,
“Ladies! Why are you arguing so loud? ”
They both looked at him and the blonde fairy answered with a question,
“Which one of us will you have as your girlfriend? ” The redhead fairy butted in and said,
“Yes, do tell my ignorant sister that you will have me.” The blonde fairy became enraged and slapped her sister in the face. The redheaded fairy, in response, slapped her back. Before long, they were on the ground, wrestling. The pixie had to shout in order to get them to stop.
“GIRLS! GIRLS! Let’s be mature about this.” He paused. “All fighting should be done in the ring.” Suddenly, a wise dragonfly buzzed up.
“What’s all this nonsense? ” he asked in a scraggly voice.
“I want him! ” both fairies shouted simultaneously. The pixie added with a smirk,
“Look, old uh fly; we don’t need your help. They are fighting, I am watching, and you need to go away.” The pixie fluttered his hand at the dragonfly, signaling for him to leave.
The dragonfly pondered the situation for a moment, and then he whistled. The ground started to shake and a low growl was heard. Almost as soon as it was felt, it was gone and a huge and very mean looking wolf stood before them. The dragonfly weakly pointed to the pixie. The pixie screamed in a very high-pitched tone and started running. The wolf, hungrily, chased after him. The fairies stood before the dragonfly, frozen with shock.
“Listen, young fairies, ” the dragonfly started, scratching his head, “You both have been best friends and sisters since the day you were born, yes? ” The fairies nodded.
“Well, no matter how hot a pixie is, you should never let him come between what you guys share. Don’t let anything ever ruin your friendship. It’s far more worth it to have a best friend for life than a hot pixie for a week. Okay? ” Without giving them a chance to answer, he buzzed away.
After moments of silence, the blonde fairy spoke first.
“I’m sorry.”
“Me too, ” the redheaded fairy responded.
“Let’s never fight again, promise? ” the blonde fairy asked. They both nodded and hugged for closure. They continued walking on, and lived happily ever after, as the best of friends.

Dragonfly

Id rather live than just imagine

Ingratitude

when the dragonfly
got lost in the woods,
the wind accommodated it
pushing it towards
its home,

when the wind travels and passes
over the dragonfly town
it looks for that blue dragonfly that it helped one time
in the woods,
the wind asks for nothing
but the dragonfly so safe in its house
looks at the wind
not even mentioning its name

it hurts so the wind goes away
as usual
on same spirited wings not asking for anything

The Frog and the Dragonfly

From the pond they both came
Hatching and making their debut
Both a gift from the water’s edge
One hopped and the other flew

As the frog searched for sustenance
He spied a bug and waited patiently
In a flash he swallowed with a gulp
He digested his treat quite efficiently

The dragonfly’s wings beat at a rapid rate
Mosquitoes offered an array of delight
Hovering momentarily, then plunging…
The dragonfly seized its dinner in flight

Then one sunny day it came to be
That bulging eyes anticipated a feast
The amphibious one was famished
Soon the dragonfly would be deceased

The Dragonflies Poem
I saw the Dragonfly.
He was flying way up high.
I saw the Dragonfly.
Early in the morning,
early without warning.
Down by the water,
early without warning.
I saw the pretty dragonfly;
he was flying way up high.
I suppose they eat all day:
what do you think they eat.
I suppose they eat all day:
is it bread or is it meat.
I suppose they eat all day.?
No, not like ewe and eye.
We are the dragonflies.

A Spotted Frog (The Politician)

There he sits
A spotted frog
He grins from ear to ear
Waterbugs quake across the
Pond's surface
The spotted frog sits
Stone-still on his perch
Silently stalking a humming dragonfly
His eyes shimmer
His mouth waters
His tounge is itching to snap out
And snatch the poor bug's life
His prey draws closer to his
Invisible enemy
All of the sudden
The urge is too strong to contain
His tounge snaps
The dragonfly silently flaps his last
Wingspan, breathes his last breath
