Quotes about cushy

More Confetti Please!

They would like it,
With cream and berries
Topped with a lollipop!

They wish it to be...
Scented with lilac.
And glaring with a rainbow,
Nonstop!

And with Robins and Morning doves,
To sing.
With a Sun beaming on a clear horizon.
They...
Want it all.
And cushy.
As cushy as a tush can be!
They want a life that's free...
Of rain.

'More confetti please! '

Friendship with romance!

So you want a piece of my
Rosy, cushy, juicy pie
I’m afraid, without romance on supply
This refined lady is not going to comply

Before into my world
You make your entrance
Remember this lady loves romance

So how about friendship with romance
Maybe you may stand a chance
Send me sweet roses once in a while
Make it your number one style

I need you now, not as a lover
If that is your immediate aim
You’ll be sucked out of my life with a hover
So how about friendship with romance

Now and then, take me out to dance

I was in advertising for years. That was cushy, you know? It's pretty cushy in a lot of ways, but I hated it.

Charlize Theron

You can never get to a place of comfort in this business. As soon as you hit that little cushy spot, somebody's gonna kick you out. So I have a constant need to do it better.

Goose Feather Down

A comfortable king size bed,

to rest my body and heavy head.

with stuffing of goose feather down,

Silky soft and luxurious all round.

My pillow is so cushy light,

Happy dreams each and every night.

Fight to a Finish

The boys came back. Bands played and flags were flying,
And Yellow-Pressmen thronged the sunlit street
To cheer the soldiers who’d refrained from dying,
And hear the music of returning feet.
‘Of all the thrills and ardours War has brought,
This moment is the finest.’ (So they thought.)

Snapping their bayonets on to charge the mob,
Grim Fusiliers broke ranks with glint of steel,
At last the boys had found a cushy job.

. . . .
I heard the Yellow-Pressmen grunt and squeal;
And with my trusty bombers turned and went
To clear those Junkers out of Parliament.

To Mary Jane...

My dear, when I am with you
I find myself getting lost...

Getting lost in the ambiance
Of your summer sweet music
Playing as soft as a whisper
In the genius loci background

Getting lost in the distant depths
Of your green earth eyes
That simulate your boundless world
Of inexhaustible possibilities

Getting lost in the resplendency
Of your sun reflected smile
And lost inside
The floral envelope of your heart
Blossoming everlastingly
In your warmth

Reflections They Deem to Be Eternally Wounding

With an ease not many have led to please,
Such a cushy and pampered existence.
Although some have done it,
To satisfy themselves.
And tease those with perceived jealousies.

While those who labor with sweat to savor...
Are the ones who have priorities.
And benefactors of blessings received.

Leaving those envious unhappy.
Since they are born to believe,
Those who deceive and feed their greed...
Are the ones chosen.

And they are,
Chosen!
To mark and victimize themselves.
Hating images they wish could be changed.
With reflections they deem to be eternally wounding.

Christmas in in Lisbon

Christmas in Lisbon (1974)

The day before Christmas the Atlantic was in a frenzy
it was with relief when we turned starboard and met
the softer water of Tagus.

We birthed far from town, on a double Decker Bus
I had bumpy drive into town. I good meal and wine,
just sting sitting there reading newspapers.

Rang my wife to hear a friendly voice, she asked if I
was drunk since I sounded so chirpy. Put down the phone
Drank some more wine and aimlessly walked about.

Picked up an cushy prostitute, needed a warm body
next to mine, In the morning I took a taxi back and
a new long, laborious shipboard day began.

A sonnet - On Rashmika's Wedding

A sonnet - On Rashmika's Wedding

As white-mist chill fine descends too low
Over thy abode atop a mountain high
Ye, the daughter of fair one lofty above
Couched, comforted in life cool, cushy though
Little birds chirp perched on creepers low
Wake gently, rich Sam's sweet pet
As east's eye in the sky doth open
Gently, too gently wake and see without
A charming, young lad, too stately person
Presented here, young dame's hands to take
Blush thee? ! Behold him in bloom full
To clasp, to wed and in sweet bond fuse
For Angels, Cherubims, men and women all
Bless anon, shower flowers on couple at ease.
