Quotes about cowardly

Courage The Cowardly Dog

Eustace, Muriel, somebody's at the door.
Creepy, surreal, someone better get the door.
Someone better get the door.
Who's gonna' get the door?
Courage the Cowardly Dog, Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Something horrible wants to destroy our humble
Nowhere shack. Who will protect our home?
Someone protect our home, Who will protect our home?
Courage the Cowardly Dog, Courage the Cowardly Dog
Courage the Cowardly Dog, Courage the Cowardly Dog

Bold Jack Donahoe (1)

'Twas of a valiant highwayman and outlaw of disdain
Who'd scorn to live in slavery or wear a convicts chain;
His name it was Jack Donahoe of courage and renown -
He'd scorn to live in slavery or humble to the Crown.
This bold, undaunted highwayman, as you may understand,
Was banished for his natural life from Erin's happy land.
In Dublin city of renoun, where his first breath he drew,
It's there they titled him the brave and bold Jack Donahoe.
He scarce had been a twelvemonth on the Australian shore,
When he took to the highway, as oft he had before,
Brave MacNamara, Underwood, Webber and Warmsley too,
These were the four associates of bold Jack Donahoe.
As Jack and his companions roved out one afternoon,
Not thinking that the pains of death would overcome so soon,
To their surprise five horse police appeared all in their view,
And in quick time they did advance to take Jack Donahoe.
"Come, come, you cowardly rascals, oh, do not run away!
We'll fight them man to man, my boys, their number's only three;
For I'd rather range the bush around, like dingo or kangaroo,
Than work one hour for Government," said bold Jack Donahoe.

It is not cowardly, quite the contrary, to seek to meet the adversary and know his intentions. However, it is cowardly, shameful and treasonable to lay down arms.

We have been the cowards lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it's not cowardly.

People of all colors living here

Or visiting in this country
Are cowardly in not admitting over and over
Their part of causing illness,
Disease to all skinned tone people,
They do this by using sweetened words,
Alcohol, drugs, group attendances,
Unknown usage of drugs that weaken the thought process.
This puts them into bedroom rape taking away their lights to happiness.
This causes all around them to do more cowardly crimes,
Which causes all the people harm.
Many of the people are left not able to defend themselves or be believed
There are people in disease and illness that aren't even aware of it
From this rape of their thoughts!

Exalt

I have no patience for a cowardly prejudice
What's done is done and what's dead is dead
I have my colony united for commemoration, listen
My proposal slowly manifested
Pleading as if I care for a worthless excuse
Imminent I am to a victory
All who deny, shall burn alive
No time for weak states of mind
So wake up
His awakening is near
The stipulation is obvious
Kneel before me or be cast down
How I hope you feel the magnitude
Kneel before me or be cast down
How oblivious could one be
Humiliated are the false allies
Infidel, into the fiery depths you go
Bring me the head of treachery and greed
I won't let this escape my grasp
No time for weak states of mind

Wake Up Call

Wake up call?
What wake up call,
Is going to cause someone to perform...
Premeditated cowardly acts?

What wake up call,
Is going to snap the mind of someone,
Prepared to attack with a striking back!

Derogatory name calling to shame another,
Is kid's play.
A childish display of one's desire to have things,
Done their way...
To produce attention without seeking comprehension.
With an excuse to use...
Is a refusal of common sense.

With a follow through one chooses,
To retaliate like most fools do.

Coward

Here stands the coward
As you look upon his face
So afraid of the world outside
His soul is full of pity and disgrace.
He talks behind ones back
When they are never around
As he is tough when he is alone
And he is always coward bound.
He will never talk face to face
When conflict heads his way
He will just run away and hide
And to GOD for protection he will pray.
He lacks the courage to do many things
As he always runs out of mans sight
He hides while no one is looking
As he can never fight his own fight.
He will make up his stories and lies
So he can cover up his cowardly way
As that is all that he knows to do
He is so afraid of all danger and pain.

Thomas the Rhymer

Part First

Ancient

True Thomas lay on Huntlie bank;
A ferlie he spied wi' his ee;
And there he saw a lady bright,
Come riding down by the Eildon Tree.

Her skirt was o the grass-green silk,
Her mantle o the velvet fyne,
At ilka tett of her horse's mane
Hang fifty siller bells and nine.

True Thomas he pulld aff his cap,
And louted low down to his knee:
'All hail, thou mighty Queen of Heaven!
For thy peer on earth I never did see.'

'O no, O no, Thomas,' she said,

Homer

The Iliad: Book 4

Now the gods were sitting with Jove in council upon the golden floor
while Hebe went round pouring out nectar for them to drink, and as
they pledged one another in their cups of gold they looked down upon
the town of Troy. The son of Saturn then began to tease Juno,
talking at her so as to provoke her. "Menelaus," said he, "has two
good friends among the goddesses, Juno of Argos, and Minerva of
Alalcomene, but they only sit still and look on, while Venus keeps
ever by Alexandrus' side to defend him in any danger; indeed she has
just rescued him when he made sure that it was all over with him-
for the victory really did lie with Menelaus. We must consider what we
shall do about all this; shall we set them fighting anew or make peace
between them? If you will agree to this last Menelaus can take back
Helen and the city of Priam may remain still inhabited."
Minerva and Juno muttered their discontent as they sat side by
side hatching mischief for the Trojans. Minerva scowled at her father,
for she was in a furious passion with him, and said nothing, but
Juno could not contain herself. "Dread son of Saturn," said she,
"what, pray, is the meaning of all this? Is my trouble, then, to go
for nothing, and the sweat that I have sweated, to say nothing of my
horses, while getting the people together against Priam and his
