Eating A Bullet

Speaking to ghosts
Sitting next to the soldiers of the past.
Where did we go so wrong?
Why is it taking so long?
A new discovery.
A new dream.
Building something not as dull as it seems.

I wrote it all down in a letter.
Sent it in a red envelope.
That has been stained by these hands.

Premise:
All roses are flowers
Some flowers fade quickly
Some have stems smooth
Some have stems prickly

Conclusion: valid or not? (True of false)
Therefore: some roses fade quickly.

Don’t be too smug
Don’t answer to slickly
The conclusion like most
Can be answered too quickly

The correct logical conclusion
To most people is lost
For the answer in (intuitive confusion)
Is inherently and most logically… false

FROM CONFUSION TO FUSION'S CONCLUSION
When a couple once spliced starts to split
what becomes of bright eyes starry lit,
of the promises made
wedding white knight, fair maid?
Why the torments and turning of spit?

For its seldom of common accord
that relationships once by the board
fall like flies in Iraq
with a vengeance lies stark,
leaving victims hog tied with tight cord.

“You’ll be happier far than before”
says the hypocrite running for door,
but the one once adored
feels the turn of the sword,
as regrets close all bets, shaken core.

Mad Professor Blyth is working on his pet invention
to dematerialise himself into the fourth dimension
He's got his mind set on illusion
