Solitair, a teacher

Solitaire is a card game
Developed for playing
By self with no opponent
The fact is you are
Playing your own self
This is what
Solitaire teaches you

You shuffle cards
You distribute them
Upside down
Over eight or ten rows
Not knowing which card
Lays where and in what order
Keeping only the top layer open

On Not Sending Christmas Cards

Dear Friends –
for friends you are, and friends
you will remain –

I’m not sending any cards this year –
so of course, I do not deserve to receive any,
by the human law of tit for tat…

So if you’re sending me a card
because you sent me one last year
and think I’ll notice if you don’t -
don’t bother.

A Wanta Be

Pity all the wanta bees
drones to misfortune
short cut seekers to fame
beware hidden strings
to make a puppet dance!

There goes 3-card Mike
with all he can fight
when he left yesterday
he shoulda went right

And theres 5-card Billy
with 7-card Jack
they both get silly
smokin' that crack

And Alabama Chuck
has been down on his luck
he shoulda played Razz

Zero Covers All

Lately I realize.
I am a numb number,
living through life.
First child.
Date of birth.
Sixth star of twenty-seven.
Scorpio numbers six of twelve.
Studied tenth class,
Then 5-year’s graduation,
Every class I had a scroll number.
Exams written on id number.
Studied law.
Head churning three years,
with numbered sections.
Penal code, constitution.
Clauses of law in numbered sects.
Registered in bar council.
Legal practice.

For all intents and purposes man is now the number of the beast.
Is the Poet yet aware? Did he knoe that men were killing men that wars were being fought again whilst he dared to dream even pen love he felt inside for them? Words so eloquently displayed for all the students of the English Language to critique and study how many poems does the English teacher use? in classrooms long abused by drug and alcoholic use the poetic foibles of a systematic killing of the individual pursuits. Completed in the Identification system is the number of the beast the system is the thing. The use of numbers to Identify the people is nothing new the Military in Ancient Worlds numbered troops on the Identification Chalk Boards the ICB were set up in the surrounding rocks so that the Trolls could change the numbers during the battle they had to be quick whitted adding and subtracting the smarter ones soon figured out to count the men’s legs and divide by two. it doesn't take long for the nightmarish news
To sweep the world like a shockwave.
The mighty man of steel, once the superchampion, admired by billions
Has proclaimed himself a wildman.
Afraid of going on an uncontrollable rampage at any moment.
