Smile Or Frown

Pairs of opposites
Half of them parasites
In the lives of mortals
Invading their portals!

Smile and frown one such
World of difference so much!

Smile attracts, Frown repels
Smile wins, Frown loses
Smile befriends, Frown alienates
Smile infuses love, Frown injects hatred
Smile encourages, Frown deserts
Smile strengthens, Frown weakens
Smile carries, Frown throws off

Humans alone can control
And conquer to play their role!

Sport the smile

The Contrition

Desecrating old foundations
the fragile façade that one creates

Proves acrimonious to reality
and from commune it alienates

Logic gets thrown to elements
in the displayed sense of arrogant air

The inadvertent damage that is inflicted,
is beyond any emotional repair

With rage seething deep inside,
to rationality one turns blind

No point in being penitent
after bridges have been burnt behind

It may or not dawn at some stage,
what damage one has wreaked

Three Worlds

I see a world
Where love exists
The source
Of everything

A world of Beings
Who recognize
A connection
To ALL that is

There are
No borders
No prejudice
No anger hate
Or greed

Where all that is
Is all that they
Will ever need

Ultimate Relief (Rev.)

The lemon-meringue for Tiaan’s birthday is taking
its toll, headache, chemical depression, I’m trying
to be brave but finally give in to misery, resorting
to tears, eyes going out of focus – not a word of
complaint while weathering the storm,
pain alienates me from everybody

Wrong time to reread ‘Love of Seven Dolls’ by
Paul Gallico, wrong time to read about Mouche’s
fight to stay alive while my head is burning, wrong
time to concentrate as a feverish heat wave and
stomach-ache make me feel dizzy - I promised
my friend I would not withdraw into fantasy

I play at being an author planning the intrigue that
will allow my characters to solve the problem of
isolation while I am isolated within my own head,
unable to communicate, words on paper my only
release, speaking as expression impossible -
the ultimate relief - tears - while sitting here….

Man Sins Without an End!

The heart of man is evil to the core;
The mind of man sinfully does some more;
The mouth of man utters words unkind, sore;
The soul of man is full of sins of yore!

For long, we’ve sinned against our Lord, our God;
For long, His patience spared us from His rod;
We’ve failed to heed or do as per His Word;
How odd that man can’t stay pure in his thought!

Our sinful habits bring us curses great;
Our suffering and strife cannot abate;
This is but our making and not just fate;
The road to heaven’s narrow; So’s the Gate!

We must agree we disobey our Lord;
We’ve failed to keep the ten Commands He gave;
When misfortune then strikes, we rant and rave;
Man alienates from His one living God!
