It is very similar to companies like Google and other internet companies. When you go and search on Google you don't pay for that. But sometimes you click on an advert and Google makes money on that.

I love the TV show, and if you make a bad movie it means you've soiled it. Just like if we made an advert. We were offered so many times and I'd say, look, this is the good thing, and you can't compromise that, because then you compromise the integrity of the characters.

welcome to the BBC world boring news repeated
breaking news footage shot once is repetition repeated
again and again and again same segment updates repeated
for two days same lead in to news plus countdown one minute wasted
same advert of interviews multiples bores no smart variations repeated

Best buy said the advert
But who decides what’s best
Is there some secret record
Or are they like the rest

The shoppers hear them shopping
Great deal’s we’re coming back
Influenced by special deals
Impressed by giant stack

This shopping is a science
With formulas for selling
Each manager has bought the stock
Head office has been telling

They told him where to stack it
In hot spots round his store
And adverts showing best buys
Would bring them back for more

Advice For The Soul

Abiding advice rested on my soul,
This afternoon there was an advert
For the future of my eerie existence,
One that was an airport of alarm.

This cobwebbed life had connections,
To the tasted restaurants and bars
Achievable in life, for there was not
A wreck in sight, no wobbling on the path.

I weep and wrestle and wish for the opposite
To occur, in trances my experience begins;
Wet pools stare at my stored eyes, these jewels
That steer and start like the steps of diamonds.

Personal Column

I seek a maid to marry me.
A homely maid who’s dutiful
a girl who can smile pleasantly.
Above a maid who’s beautiful.

For pretty girls think they can rule.
An equal partner's what I need
and not an empty headed fool
who’s just another mouth to feed.

I am not handsome it is true
But I work hard and I’m well paid
I earn sufficient to keep two
I am a master of my trade.
