Quotes about accrued

Harrison Ford

I accrued anger from people's low opinion of me and my work, and for the work I might be capable of.

Don't expect too much of Christmas Day. You can't crowd into it any arrears of unselfishness and kindliness that may have accrued during the past twelve months.

Don’t regret for the waste

Reputations built might go to waste.
Good wills made might collapse soon.
The trusted might turn inimical.
The beloved might cease to be so.
Everyday we are taking food.
Every day the food turns faeces.
Do we regret for the food consumed?
The joy accrued from the act has done its job.

Tomorrow's Standing

So it's...I don't want to say it...
'Yo knows what days it is'

So it was perfectly...clear...
near and unreal

I found grounds...and planted
ways and means

Then harvested arrears and debits
and accrued total assets

Yesterday...came out of the future
to be today
only to slip away

And as I look back,

I sense tomorrow's standing
in the doorway asking,

Doing is enjoyment

You have watched many shows,
Spending time and money.
You have listened to many concerts
Losing time and money.
You have accomplished many acts
Draining time and energy.
Likewise you have brought up your kids
Pouring time and blood.
What gain have you got from them all?
All may appear to you as mockery.
You did them for the pleasure that
Accrued in doing such deeds.
That pleasure is your gain. It’s not in
vain.

Nature's Purity

Come buds break forth and greet the spring,
And dress the world in garments new,
Such subtle shades you'll gently bring,
When winter bids us all adieu.

Each branch will sparkle with new growth,
And birds will chatter amongst the leaves,
And many a couple will pledge their troth,
Beneath a tree, with a love that cleaves.

Oh, such abundance here is viewed,
When all has reached maturity,
A rich and spendid sight accrued
By nature, here in its purity.

A good morning wish

A touch
Like the first ray of morning Sun
Wipes out the accrued pain of darkness.
The world of mine of a sleepless night
Suddenly gets drenched in flurry of colors.

The silence breaks with so much of joy all around.
Hear it in birds' song,
In fluttering wings of butterflies,
In opening of petals of blossoming flowers.

Your Good Morning wish sets free my Captive heart
It spreads wings and soars high,
Embracing the blue of endless sky.
I feel my heart gets painted in colors
Of this blissful world of flowers
And butterflies.
Suddenly I find my world has no horizon.

Sonnet: Material Things Are Not Permanent

Whatever wealth I’ve accrued in this world,
Whether hard-earned or by the easy route;
Whether in kind or currency wads, curled,
I must leave back to someone else like loot.

However much wealth I have earned on earth,
By sweat of brow or by my playing dice,
It will not help me gain an extra-breath,
Except a coffin made of teak wood nice.

Whatever treasures, I had to my name,
As gems or diamonds, silver or gold-form,
I leave them back intact in life's earth game,
In known or unknown places as per norm.

Then why this haste and frenzy for more wealth,
And that too at the cost of one’s own health?

Sonnet: New Year Resolutions

Become the leaf from which you turned a thorn!
Go back in time, becoming your good self;
Take on traits healthy with which you were born;
Cast off those tendencies that gave more pelf!

Throw off your habits bad of yester-years;
Peel off the pachyderm of ‘make-up’ dirt;
Remove the accrued wax from outer ears;
Make up with others whom you had once hurt!

Resolve in mind to give up sinful thoughts;
Defreeze your heart of pent up emotions;
You fulgurate your body’s ugly warts;
Enhance your skills for future promotions!

Let words from mouth be courteous, kind and rife!
Let virtues take the place of vice in life!

Dedicated to those in high office who wish to turn a new leaf!
