Upon the eaves, tomorrow's eve,
Unfolding sorrow takes its leave,
In cresting night's arresting heart,
Protesting craven flight departs.
A raven flits from hope to hail,
Sweet remembered desolation,
When dissolute and dainty fare,
Fell to barren expectation.

In darkness cloaked, how Cotard's coat,
Devours the starlight years afloat,
Scudding clouds defacing sketches,
Heaven's poor prophetic etches.
Uplifted brief in cruciform,
Against the Scales my spirit stalls,
Then glancing upon Scorpio,
Long hours are lost in empty halls.

Rex Captivus

Americans if ye be, who stand surrounding my prison,
Has the sight of me, caged and cowed, no hint of the past to say,
Of the days when ye chose me symbol of Freedom the New-arisen?
Free ye found me, and King ye crowned me,
And what is your King to-day?
Shackled for fools to laugh at, shorn of defence and defiance,
Tainted and reeking with filth in this barred, unspeakable slough,

It has been said.
Beauty lies
in the eyes
of the beholder.

Might one ask.
Does beauty
in or of itself
recognize any bounds?

To voice an opinion
as to knowledge of beauty.
Must the beholder
be acclaimed expert?

In all truth.
Might an expression
of beauty be but
an affair of one's heart?

Bogus Floaters

Bogus floaters rise like puff pastry.
The texture is a bit flaky and overdone with yeast.
But as long as the center sustains a sweetness,
Who today would care there is a lacking of substance?
None at its core to eat that keeps this stuff puffed up,
And above that which does maintain a taste...
To be acclaimed as credible.

There are many countless
who will not now act
to defend youth innocence

to protect innocent souls
in a religion their acclaimed faith
a temple a church a mosque

preferring choosing
to holy reputation protect
instead of protecting lives

How Conformity Is Achieved

Take an abnormal way of life,
And hype it as accepted.
Ensure every aspect of it...
Is praised for its ways and acclaimed.

Take those who do not fit,
This picture of twisted mental bliss...
And defame them as misfits.
With an announcement made of this.

And that's how conformity is achieved.
With a maddening insanity,
Increasingly projected.
Respected and received.
