Quotes about abstruse
God
Multiple magic, myriad isms, sundry deities
Complexity, perplexity
Sobriety, pity, piety
Unmet entreaty, relentless activity
Quest, search, quest, search
The Abstract abstruse..
Peremptorily'O'God'
She, He, It
Name this and that
As you like
Believe mystical or rational
Believe not-be it your personal
Simply the abstract Absolute
Generates, operates, destroys
Quest, search, quest, search
The Abstract abstruse..
Peremptorily'O'God'

Sonnet 13
no abstruse thought can claim my heart.
soon mind changes to simpler view.
complexities vanish and depart.
simple mind returns in thought to you.
then my mind gains true wings
and journeys far afield fed on love.
exchanging grace for grace, love brings
a sense of peace, disquiet to remove
and motion cease in restless brain.
quickened action takes hold within.
serene calm towards which i strain
comes unasked for once again!
so abstruse 'tis simple, love's effect
passes understanding of brain's aspect.

Canto the Fourth
I
Nothing so difficult as a beginning
In poesy, unless perhaps the end;
For oftentimes when Pegasus seems winning
The race, he sprains a wing, and down we tend,
Like Lucifer when hurl'd from heaven for sinning;
Our sin the same, and hard as his to mend,
Being pride, which leads the mind to soar too far,
Till our own weakness shows us what we are.
II
But Time, which brings all beings to their level,
And sharp Adversity, will teach at last
Man, -- and, as we would hope, -- perhaps the devil,
That neither of their intellects are vast:
While youth's hot wishes in our red veins revel,
We know not this -- the blood flows on too fast;
But as the torrent widens towards the ocean,
We ponder deeply on each past emotion.

1.
Somebody puts a hand
on my shoulder
I turn around
suddenly it was moon.
2.
Do you hear
the inaudible voices
of abstruse frosting.
The leaves are falling.
3.
What you did not know
was my pain.
When I felt illumminated
in dark.

My mind rebels at stagnation. Give me problems, give me work, give me the most abstruse cryptogram, or the most intricate analysis, and I am in my own proper atmosphere. But I abhor the dull routine of existence. I crave for mental exaltation.

The Swap
Past drift though interminable,
but the challenge along got lost
Prodding me on the uncharted
and to implausible head on accost
The consequences don't inhibit
except the transitory lead on part
The reserves are nearly expended
and the dividends yet to start
Unpredictability of uncertain future
none knows what might produce
If it rewards with expectant pleasures
or predicaments vaguely abstruse

Sonnet 9
between the action and pattern;
between conception and produce;
between the antique and modern;
between the simple and abstruse;
between now and when eternity began;
between the estate and heritage;
between zion and islam;
between single state and marriage;
between the symbol and history;
between perspective and reality;
between knowledge and mystery;
between the image and ontology,
life encounters the synapse.
arcing this, it synapse gaps!

The Pack
A bit of metaphysics or a psychologic catch
Will sit upon my breast all day and scratch and scratch and
scratch. Now isn't it a pity that the ragged thorns of culture Should be tearing at my vitals, as Prometheus's the vulture?
I really have no liking for abstruse and subtle question.
I prefer to laugh in sunshine and to cherish my digestion.
But a pack of eager queries, barking, barking, hound me on,
Until I find an hour of life's pure delight is gone.

Virgo
Ghost song's refrain in years reprise
this message sends, in candle faint glow,
that we are wraiths boarding the breeze,
stalwart and lone our soul aggrieves,
white auster foams above the bow,
the gusts play wind's notes of oboe,
homecoming ball where smiles cerise,
fromward of bright Spica Virgo.
Out yon the Princesses in dark,
transmit their laughs in cryst'l glory
life merchants send us to embark,
harmonic verdict - sirens' harp,
abstruse odd song and strange story,
our life resembles a marble quarry,
abandoned where the winds howl-bark,
when shadows pass in white flurry.

Alas! What Boots The Long Laborious Quest
ALAS! what boots the long laborious quest
Of moral prudence, sought through good and ill;
Or pains abstruse-to elevate the will,
And lead us on to that transcendent rest
Where every passion shall the sway attest
Of Reason, seated on her sovereign hill;
What is it but a vain and curious skill,
If sapient Germany must lie deprest,
Beneath the brutal sword?-Her haughty Schools
Shall blush; and may not we with sorrow say-
A few strong instincts and a few plain rules,
Among the herdsmen of the Alps, have wrought
More for mankind at this unhappy day
Then all the pride of intellect and thought?
